In a disturbing turn of events in Illinois, four children were abducted by a man not related to them, in what authorities have described as a domestic-related kidnapping. Thankfully, the children have now been located.
According to the organization A Voice For The Voiceless, Inc., the children have been safely recovered and are currently undergoing medical evaluations as a precautionary measure. However, the suspect involved in the abduction remains at large.
As reported by ABC 7, the incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. Authorities say Austin Bell, 29, took off in a vehicle that was not his own, with the four children in the backseat.
Police were alerted to the situation on the 13600 block of Lowe Avenue in Riverdale, prompting the issuance of an AMBER Alert. The alert included details of the vehicle, identified as a silver 2010 Acura MDX with the Illinois license plate FE 60619.
Law enforcement officials have stated that the children are currently undergoing medical evaluations to ensure their wellbeing following the ordeal.
Bell is described as a Black male who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs around 215 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
