Authorities in Michigan are appealing for information regarding the disappearance of a 16-year-old boy who has been missing for over two weeks.

As reported by Wood TV, Kaiden Morris vanished on January 24 from a guardian’s home located in Hagar Township, specifically on Maple Lane near M-63.

Officials noted that Kaiden left the residence around 11:15 p.m. and is believed to be possibly staying with friends in the Benton Harbor or St. Joseph area.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office issued a reminder to the community that providing shelter or assistance to a runaway minor is illegal under Michigan law, according to their statement.

At the time of his disappearance, Kaiden was wearing baggy pants, black shoes, and a light-colored sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 269-983-7141, or submit an online tip.
