The search for Nancy Guthrie has entered its 13th day, marked by a significant increase in the reward for information and a burgeoning jurisdictional conflict between Pima County investigators and the FBI.
Sheriff Chris Nanos has addressed concerns over the handling of evidence, clarifying that there is no obstruction of FBI access. Despite this, it has come to light that evidence, including gloves discovered in Guthrie’s residence, was sent to a laboratory in Florida instead of the FBI’s facilities.
According to Sheriff Nanos, it remains uncertain whether these gloves have any direct link to Guthrie’s disappearance.
In a potentially related development, a video has surfaced on social media showing an unidentified man ringing the doorbell of a house located 6.5 miles from Guthrie’s home at around 5 a.m. The homeowner stated they did not recognize the individual. While the FBI has not confirmed any connection between this man and Guthrie’s case, they are diligently following up on every tip received.
