A woman from Georgia remains unaccounted for over a year after she vanished without a trace.
Destiney Gunnison, who is now 31, disappeared on May 12, 2024, after leaving her father’s Atlanta residence to meet a friend in Oakland City. According to her mother, Gunnison’s absence is uncharacteristic, as she never misses holidays or goes long stretches without contacting her family, as reported by WAGA.
The authorities categorize Gunnison’s case as endangered, with her mother suspecting foul play as a factor in her disappearance.
WAGA also reported Gunnison’s mother mentioned that her daughter experiences seizures and possesses the mental capacity of a child, often necessitating medication for her condition.
Gunnison is described as having a height range of 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches, weighing between 215 and 235 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The organization Black and Missing highlighted that Gunnison exhibits a slight tick and a unique gait.
