An Oklahoma couple has been taken into custody following allegations of abusing the woman’s 12-year-old son, who has been missing since last week.
Hunter McKee, a public information officer with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, reported that Ryan Davis experienced harm while under the care of his mother, Kimberly Cole, and her husband, George Cole. According to KOCO, the last sighting of Davis occurred on January 2 at the Quality Inn in Chickasha, leading to an Endangered Missing Advisory being issued four days later.
Officials have indicated that they believe Davis is still alive, as reported by KOCO.
Before her arrest on Wednesday, Kim Cole expressed her gratitude and plea for assistance: “I want to thank everybody that has helped and anybody that wants to continue to help. It’s needed and wanted. We just want our son back home. We want him back,” she shared with the news outlet.
George and Kimberly Cole now face charges of child abuse and child sexual abuse. Authorities stated that “apparent harm” had occurred, although specific details about the alleged offenses remain undisclosed. According to KOKH, McKee mentioned that it is uncertain if the abuse is connected to Davis’ disappearance.
Davis was described as standing 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, and having brown hair and brown eyes. He was seen wearing a red and black plaid shirt, dark-colored jeans, and brown steel-toe boots.
Anyone with information regarding Davis’ whereabouts should call the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-522-8017 or the Chickasha Police Department at 405-222-6050.
