The police in Indiana have escalated their search for a missing 17-year-old girl to an “endangered” status, indicating concerns for her safety and her potential inability to return home independently.
Hailey Buzbee was last known to have left her residence in Fishers, located northeast of Indianapolis, during the night of January 5. Since then, there have been no sightings of her, according to a statement from the Fishers Police Department.
Authorities confirmed that Hailey left her house willingly and according to a plan, but she did not act alone in doing so.
“Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and to ensure Hailey’s safety, many specifics regarding the search remain confidential,” the police stated. They also urged the public to continue submitting any tips to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as the search efforts continue.
Hailey is described as having brown hair and eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white blouse, grey jeans, and a black puffer jacket, and was carrying a pink Vera Bradley duffle bag.
