In a chilling scene captured by surveillance cameras, Michael McKee, an Ohio-based surgeon accused of murder, was processed into the Franklin County Corrections Center.
According to WBNS, the 39-year-old McKee displayed no visible emotion as officers conducted a pat-down and provided him with jail attire. His booking took place on January 20, shortly before 4 p.m.
McKee is currently facing two murder charges, as stated in a warrant issued on January 10, according to CrimeOnline.
He stands accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe, in their Columbus residence on December 30. Fortunately, two young children found at the scene were unharmed.
Authorities were able to connect McKee to the tragic events using security camera footage from the Tepe family’s neighborhood in Columbus.
Police found the couple fatally shot inside their residence after a family friend became concerned when Spencer failed to show up to his Athens dental practice.
According to an affidavit, Monique Tepe previously told loved ones that McKee threatened her and had been abusive.
Investigators later linked his vehicle to the crime scene and found a firearm in his Rockford apartment that matched shell casings found at the scene.
McKee has pleaded not guilty and remains behind bars without bail.
