It’s been a long time since Dateline fans have had a new mystery to unravel, but the hit crime newsmagazine is back soon with an all-new look at the case of a Colorado dentist convicted of murdering his wife.

This season of Dateline: Secrets Uncovered has featured everything from jealousy-fueled killings to jaw-dropping confessions of murder. 

The most recent episode, “Footprints in the Snow” followed the disappearance of 12-year-old Jonelle Matthews. Jonelle disappeared on December 20, 1984 after coming home from a school Christmas concert. When her father arrived at their Greeley, Colorado, home just an hour later, Jonelle was gone, leaving investigators few clues to her fate aside from a series of footprints left behind in the snow by the presumed kidnapper.
