A Kentucky woman was arrested at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, after a routine bag check reportedly revealed that her “goodies” were illegal drugs.

Brandi Asher, 37, was arrested on May 20 while she was visiting the Walt Disney World theme park, but she was not able to get past security at the ticketing center. According to an arrest affidavit reviewed by Law&Crime, police were requested by a security officer who checked Asher’s bag and found a “small tin can.” The security officer shook the can, but heard nothing. Upon opening it, the security officer allegedly found a “long, white cylinder” that “looked like a pen” and “two small, plastic baggies with something white inside of them.”

Asher allegedly told the security officer that it was “goodies, headache power.” After police conducted a field test, Asher’s “goodies” tested positive for methamphetamine.

According to the arrest affidavit, Asher became nervous and started “shaking” following the alleged discovery and told the security officer that he could dispose of the substances. When he said he could not do that, Asher allegedly tried to put the substances in her pockets, but she was instructed to put them back in the tin can.

When a sheriff’s deputy arrived, he examined the “whiteish, clear, crystal-like substances inside the can. I also noticed a hollow cylinder-shaped tube.” He then identified the substances as methamphetamine and the tube “used to snort” it. A field test confirmed the deputy’s suspicions — Asher was allegedly carrying 1.5 grams of meth.

After the deputy read Asher her rights, she told him that a stranger approached her at the hotel where she was staying with her family and offered her the meth, which she took. She told the police that she did not tell her husband about the meth, and that she believed she had put the meth in a different bag. According to the affidavit, Asher claimed that she did not intend to bring the bag containing the meth to Walt Disney World that day.

Asher was escorted to the park’s security office where she was issued a trespass warning. She was handcuffed and taken into custody. After being booked on charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, she posted $5,000 bond and was released.

Through her attorney, Asher pleaded not guilty on June 1. Her next court date was not publicly available.
