A mother in Indiana is facing charges for two separate fights involving women who were romantically involved with her exes, with one arrest coming just last week after she attacked a mom who had a child with the father of her kid — calling her baby “ugly” and allegedly chucking it into a shopping cart — after they “happened to see each other” at a Walmart, police say.
Shamesha Hendrix, 36, of Muncie, has two different criminal cases pending against her involving a pair of women who were romantically involved with men that Hendrix had prior relationships with, according to court documents obtained by Law&Crime. Hendrix was arrested on Feb. 15 for a preliminary felony charge of battery of a person under the age of 14 in connection to the Walmart incident on Jan. 17. The other alleged attack unfolded at a Family Dollar in October 2024, according to the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office.
The arrest affidavits from both incidents outline how Hendrix encountered the female victims in public and proceeded to attack them, even threatening to “pop” one before setting upon her, Muncie Police say.
Describing the mom and baby who were allegedly targeted in the incident last month, authorities said: “She and Ms. Hendrix both have children from the same father. Ms. Hendrix has been causing problems with her and they happened to see each other at Walmart. Ms. Turner said that Ms. Hendrix called her a b—- and she was going to beat her ass.”
The exchange allegedly happened in the Walmart parking lot in Muncie, with Hendrix getting out of her car and going over to the victim as she was wheeling around a shopping cart with a “baby seat” inside, which contained her child.
“Ms. Hendrix grabbed the shopping cart and said she wanted to see [the victim’s] ugly baby,” according to police. “Ms. Hendrix picked the baby seat up. When Ms. Turner tried to grab the baby seat, Ms. Hendrix threw the baby seat back into the shopping cart.”

The victim said her daughter landed on her side but was belted in and did not come out of the baby seat. Paramedics were called and came to the store to check on the child, who “appeared to be fine,” according to her mom. EMS suggested taking the baby to the hospital, but the woman refused and a report was made.
Hendrix allegedly fled from the Muncie Walmart and was not located after police arrived on scene. She was arrested last Saturday, Feb. 15, and taken into custody on the preliminary battery charge. Prosecutor Eric Hoffman told Law&Crime on Tuesday that his office was reviewing the case to file formal charges.
Hendrix’s other arrest from last October led to a misdemeanor charge of battery resulting in bodily injury. She’s accused of “knowingly or intentionally” touching the victim “in a rude, insolent, or angry manner” resulting in bodily injury, according to her arrest affidavit. When officers responded to the incident that day, they allegedly found the victim standing in the parking lot of the Family Dollar “pulling loose hair from her head” after being attacked by Hendrix, the affidavit says.
“[The victim] advised Shamesha and her have dated the same guy,” police reported. “[The victim] is now still dating or with this guy. [The victim] advised her and Shamesha have went back and fourth on Facebook messenger. [The victim] advised she came to Family Dollar to buy some things and saw Shamesha was in the store with her daughter.”
According to the affidavit, Hendrix and her daughter both attacked the woman after Hendrix confronted her in the store. “Shamesha walked up to her and said something about she should pop her right here,” police said. “[The victim] advised Shamesha then walked up to her and started pulling her hair.”

The victim fled into the parking lot and got into a vehicle, with Hendrix’s daughter allegedly “slapped her in the face” and “trying to pull her out of the car” afterward.
“[The victim] advised both Shamesha and [her daughter] were basically inside the driver door of her car trying to pull her out by grabbing her,” police said.
Hoffman told Law&Crime on Tuesday that Hendrix has been formally charged for the Family Dollar incident and her case is still pending.
