GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tiara Danielle Miles, aged 32, has received a sentence of four months in incarceration, to be followed by a five-year probation period. This comes after she entered a nolo contendere plea to charges of domestic battery and aggravated assault involving a deadly weapon.

The incident unfolded at approximately 6:23 p.m. on November 13, 2025. Miles approached the victim at his place of employment, where a verbal confrontation escalated into a physical altercation. During this, Miles pushed and slapped the victim, resulting in a cut behind his ear. As the victim attempted to leave the scene, Miles allegedly pursued him with her vehicle. She was subsequently arrested on November 24 and released on a $90,000 bond. However, when she failed to attend a scheduled hearing on January 15, an arrest warrant was issued.

On November 29, 2025, at around 2:40 p.m., a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to an incident in a parking lot at the intersection of NE 23rd Avenue and N. Main Street. There, Miles had confronted the victim, who was in a car with another woman. The confrontation escalated, with Miles allegedly entering the vehicle and assaulting the victim with strikes and kicks. She reportedly then grabbed a full glass bottle and shattered it against the victim’s head.

Upon arrival, the officer observed the victim covered in liquid, with a noticeable injury behind his left ear. The officer charged Miles with aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, emphasizing the potential lethality of the glass bottle. Miles was not present when law enforcement arrived, leading to another warrant for her arrest.

Miles was arrested on January 23 on warrants for both cases. Today, she entered a plea of nolo contendere to domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the November 13 case, and the charges in the November 29 case were dropped.

Judge James Colaw adjudicated her guilty of domestic battery but withheld adjudication of guilt on the felony charge of aggravated assault. Judge Colaw sentenced her to 120 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served, followed by five years of probation. She is required to undergo a mental health evaluation within 45 days of release and complete any recommended treatment on the first try.
