A Florida woman who was already behind bars for threatening her former Disney coworkers was sentenced for seeking out someone to kill several of her family members.
Tureygua Inaru, 31, was an inmate at the Osceola County Jail in December 2022 after being arrested on charges of making written threats to kill or cause bodily harm as well as aggravated stalking. The arrest warrant stated that during the same month, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department got information that Inaru was asking other inmates if they knew anyone who could kill her parents and grandparents because of claims that her parents molested her and her siblings. She also said she would receive around $2 million as an inheritance.
Inaru’s family members were not her only intended targets — the arrest warrant stated that she also wanted to see harm come to an assistant state attorney. She specifically told one inmate, who was interviewed by police, that she “wanted him to suffer,” and that she didn’t care if his family was killed along with him. That inmate told police that she believed Inaru had “snapped.”
A second inmate told police in an interview that Inaru wanted her father killed and her mother “arrested for pedophilia.” Inaru reportedly claimed that her parents were trying to keep her behind bars “and ruin her reputation.” The second inmate also said that Inaru “bragged” that she knew an ex-Navy SEAL who would take care of the assistant state attorney.
Both inmates told police that Inaru offered to pay for the murders, giving an amount of $50,000 “for each family member killed,” all of which would be covered by the inheritance she expected to receive after the deaths.
Police made Inaru’s family aware of the threats, and her father said he didn’t find them credible. He told police that his daughter needed “mental health help.”
The assistant state attorney described how Inaru had continuously harassed him while he was preparing to prosecute her for allegedly wanting to have two of her former Disney coworkers killed. The attorney started receiving harassing emails from fabricated accounts made to look like they were coming from his clients. They came from Inaru, who reportedly attempted to make it look like the attorney was trying to “frame” her. He eventually had to “change his habits and lifestyle,” began carrying a firearm, and grew more and more concerned for his family’s safety due to Inaru’s actions. The attorney ultimately pressed charges against her.
As for the ex-Navy SEAL who was reportedly going to kill the assistant state attorney for her, he also told police that Inaru was harassing him. The arrest warrant said he described Inaru as “crazier than a sack full of wild weasels.” He also told police that Inaru was trying to “frame her coworkers” with fake email addresses.
The ex-Navy SEAL also told police that he never met Inaru in person. She also apparently told him a different story about her parents, saying that “her mother tried to kill her three years ago for her father’s inheritance.” He also told police that she never asked him to kill anyone for her.
The second inmate reported Inaru’s intention to have her family and the attorney killed to the staff at the Osceola County Jail. An undercover operation kicked off in January 2023 with a detective posing as an inmate. After outlining her plan to the undercover detective, police conducted an interview with Inaru in February 2023. When confronted with the evidence against her, Inaru denied it all and cast blame on everyone else involved, including the two inmates to whom she spoke about killing her family.
An arrest warrant charging Inaru with three counts of solicitation to commit murder and one count of cyberstalking was issued in March 2023.
After making its way through the courts, a plea was entered by Inaru on Jan. 8. She was sentenced to 30 months in prison with eight years of supervised probation.
