GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Limackie Lee Classy McMahon, 26, of Ocala, and La’naysha Anteria Samuel, 18, were arrested early this morning after allegedly battering or attempting to batter deputies who were trying to break up a fight on University Avenue.
At about 3:26 a.m., law enforcement officers from multiple agencies responded to a “violent and tumultuous brawl with multiple people” at 1116 W. University Avenue. Despite multiple commands to disengage from the fight, McMahon and Samuel allegedly continued fighting.
McMahon allegedly shoved an Alachua County Sheriff’s (ASO) Deputy in full uniform, and this was witnessed by a Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officer.
Samuel allegedly tried to punch a different ASO Deputy in full uniform, and this was witnessed by a different GPD officer. Officers reportedly had to use pepper spray to gain control of Samuel, and she was treated at the scene by EMS for exposure to pepper spray.
McMahon has been charged with disorderly conduct and battery on a law enforcement officer. She has one traffic misdemeanor conviction, and she has been released from the Alachua County Jail.
Samuel has been charged with disorderly conduct and attempted battery on a law enforcement officer. She has no adult criminal history and has been released from the Alachua County Jail.
