Christopher Crimmins (Dakota County Jail).

In a chilling incident in Minnesota, a man faces accusations of a horrifying crime involving his colleague’s tragic death. According to local authorities in the North Star State, the suspect allegedly used the deceptive play of shadows on the street to make machinery appear as though it was seizing the victim, ultimately leading to a fatal outcome.

Christopher Crimmins, aged 34, is now charged with second-degree manslaughter following the untimely death of Tyler Anthony Lynch, a 26-year-old. The charges stem from an unfortunate chain of events, as detailed in a criminal complaint examined by Law&Crime. Further information about the case can be found in a news release from Dakota County authorities.

Responding swiftly to the distress call, officers from the Apple Valley Police Department arrived at the scene. They discovered Lynch on the ground, surrounded by a significant pool of blood and suffering from severe head trauma. Tragically, Lynch was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the gravity of the situation.

The criminal complaint notes the presence of “blood on the grapple that was directly above the Victim,” a detail that played a crucial role in the investigation. Following these findings, Crimmins was apprehended and is currently held in the Dakota County Jail.

His bail was set at $40,000 “without conditions.” His next court appearance is set for Sept. 10.
