2 Chainz had his family by his side as he celebrated a major career milestone.

The rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, debuted his short film Red Clay at this year’s Atlanta Film Festival on May 3. Accompanying to the premiere were his wife, Kesha Epps , and their three kids—Heaven, Halo, and Harmony.

The family made a fashionable entrance for the big night. Kesha, Heaven, and Harmony coordinated in sleek all-black looks, while 2 Chainz and his son Halo matched in sharp cream-colored suits.

Also there to cheer him on were his mother and extended family, showing up in full support of his latest creative endeavor.

While fans have seen 2 Chainz in projects like Starz’s BMF and the 2022 film The Enforcer, Red Clay marks a major shift for him as he steps into the role of writer and storyteller.

Red Clay, which he co-wrote with actor Omar Epps, centers on a teen named Nook who’s navigating life in early 2000s Atlanta while his mother battles drug addiction.

With his best friend Bub by his side, Nook does his best to hold on to hope through challenging circumstances.

“I tell stories through my music, always hoping people feel empowered to overcome anything,” said 2 Chainz,. “‘Red Clay’ is an extension of that. Atlanta is full of resilience, and bringing Nook and Bub’s story to life—everyday folks fighting to survive—means everything to me. Creating this with Omar Epps was truly legendary.”

Omar Epps shared what inspired him to help bring the story to the screen.

He said, “My inspiration to write this film came from the need to unpack brutal truths and showcase the complexities of why Black and brown communities normalize trauma. It’s my hope to inspire conversations that motivate people to have more grace and compassion toward one another.”
