50 Cent has taken his long-standing rivalry with Sean “Diddy” Combs to a new level by producing a docuseries that delves into the events leading up to Combs’ arrest. Here’s what the rapper had to say about their infamous feud.
For years, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been vocal about his mistrust of Sean “Diddy” Combs. According to Jackson, his apprehension toward the now-controversial music mogul dates back to an unusual shopping invitation from Combs. In a surprising move, Jackson has now released a documentary series focused on Combs, which has drawn sharp criticism from Combs’ legal team. Despite the backlash, Jackson maintains that the series is not an act of revenge, insisting that there is no personal animosity between him and Combs.

Their relationship took a downturn after an encounter years ago when Combs asked Jackson to join him for a shopping excursion, a request that Jackson found suspicious and unsettling.
“I think it was my invitation to come hang out [and then he] was like, ‘Oh, let me take you shopping,” he told Us Weekly. “This is something a man says to a woman he’s interested in, and I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m good.’ That was weird to me, and I was vocal about it being weird.”
Jackson poked fun at Combs throughout his trial and said he would actively try to block any presidential pardon. Still, he said that he doesn’t think that there’s any real beef between them.
“[T]here’s no beef,” he said. “He didn’t do one thing to me, I didn’t do one thing to him.”
As proof, Jackson said that he has worked with Combs’ sons in the past. He noted that he never would have done that if he were feuding with their father.
“I’ve hired [Combs’ sons] Quincy and Justin to work in scripted television programs,” he said. “Why would I hire them if I hated him?”
Jackson went so far as to say that he thought Combs would like the docuseries he made about him. All of Sean Combs: The Reckoning is streaming on Netflix.
