An exciting new cameo is in store as fans await 9-1-1: Nashville‘s series debut.
The premiere of the 9-1-1 spin-off will feature an appearance from country artist Kane Brown. The new series’ official Instagram account posted the announcement on Thursday morning.
Per Variety, who was the first to report the news, the “Heaven” singer is set to shoot a scene on Thursday, that takes place during a concert.
According to ABC, Brown “proves heroic in a major storyline” in the 9-1-1: Nashville‘s debut, which airs directly after he flagship series’ Season 9 premiere on Oct. 9.
Described as “a high-octane procedural about our heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities,” 9-1-1: Nashville stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Cashaw, LeAnn Rimes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Hunter McVey, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, and Juani Feliz.
9-1-1: Nashville hails from executive producers Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear, Rashad Raisani, O’Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk and 9-1-1 star Angela Bassett.
Rob Lowe, who starred on 9-1-1: Lone Star for five seasons before its cancellation, confirmed to DECIDER that his brother Chad Lowe is an executive producer on 9-1-1: Nashville, and even teased whether he would open to a cameo on the new series.
“Well, I’ll have to ask Chad Lowe, my brother. See, all my family are gatekeepers to my own future business now,” he quipped. “I mean, you know, I hired him on Lone Star. I think turnabout is fair play.”
9-1-1: Nashville premieres on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Next-day streaming will be available on Hulu.
