TOWIE newcomer Matilda Draper won’t be joining her TOWIE castmates in Bali for filming. 

Matilda, 24, who appeared on Love Island last summer, joined the cast of the ITV reality show just last week after embarking on a romance with Roman Hackett.  

The Sun reported that she was meant to fly out with other cast members but her visa application hasn’t come back in time and she has been forced to stay in Essex. 

However, a spokesperson confirmed that bosses hadn’t met Matilda yet when Visas were organised for the cast. 

Both Roman and Dani shared to their respective Instagram Stories on Wednesday that they had landed in the Indonesian hotspot and checked into the hotel where the cast are staying. 

Matilda and Roman, 22, confirmed their relationship by sharing loved-up snaps on Instagram last month.

As well as Matilda, TOWIE OGs Lauren Goodger and Amy Child also won’t be jetting out to Bali, it was revealed. 

The pair are said to be staying in Essex to film scenes there instead at the same time.   

‘With the trips it’s always storyline dependent, so not everyone will go as it’s about getting the right mix of people with interacting plots,’ the source added. 

Love Island star Matilda officially joined TOWIE in December and she began filming scenes with Roman earlier this month.

Matilda was thrown in at the deep end as she met Roman’s ex Dani for the first time in some of her first scenes.

Last week, Matilda and Roman appeared more loved-up than ever as they packed on the PDA ahead of filming TOWIE at Brentwood Kitchen.

They couldn’t keep their hands off each other while arriving at the restaurant for lunch with their pals Chloe Meadows, 33, and Courtney Green, 29, last Thursday.

After weeks of speculation as to whether they were dating, the couple revealed that they had already said ‘I Love You’ as it was written on a card given to Matilda by Roman.

Fans first picked up on rumours they were dating after the TV personality shared a stunning snap to Instagram showcasing a new pair of trousers which featured a patchwork design and the wording ‘Grand Theft Auto’ across the front. 

Matilda recently revealed she had been in talks to do Love Island: All Stars but backed out after embarking on her romance with Roman. 

She made it all the way to the final of last summer’s series with sweet salesman Sean Stone, but the pair split shortly after leaving the villa. 

Matilda revealed on the Not My Bagg podcast earlier this month: ‘I was speaking to them [Love Island: All Stars] before, before I got with Ro and then as soon as I got with Ro, I just thought, “There’s no point”.

‘I had the best time of my whole entire life. Do you know what I mean? I had the best time ever. It was literally like a six week holiday. 

‘I always had my feet up, I loved life. It was funny. I don’t think you realise how much you miss it until you miss it. 

‘Because some days, I don’t know, some days I’m like, “No I’d never”, but then I’m like, “Oh, get me back in there”.

‘When I watch it, back it’s just such a special feeling cos you would never do that otherwise. But All Stars is so different. It would never be the same.
