Love Island’s Aaron Waters and Spencer Wilks said goodbye to the villa on Sunday night as they were voted off after failing to receive enough votes from the public.

Friday night’s episode ended on a cliffhanger after it was announced three of the boys were vulnerable, with the girls having to choose two of them to dump from the villa.

And the beginning of Sunday night’s episode answered all burning questions – with it revealed that Kai Fagan, 24, was safe.

Kai had recently grown closer with Olivia and shared a kiss with her on Friday’s episode.

But not all fans were happy with the girls’ decision.

On their way: Love Island’s Aaron Waters and Spencer Wilks said goodbye to the villa on Sunday night as they were voted off after failing to receive enough votes from the public

One fan wrote: ‘Aaron getting dumped is calm but Spencer getting dumped when he’s exploring Tanyel isn’t fair while Kai is on his 65th connection #loveisland’

Another agreed: ‘Actually so annoying. We’ve been robbed from Spencer and Tanyel to watch liv and Kai’s dry connection #loveisland’

Meanwhile, another viewer complained that Tom stayed in ahead of Spencer, saying: ‘I still can’t believe people voted for Tom over sexy Spencer what is wrong with you lot #loveisland’

Speaking after his exit, Aaron admitted he was ‘ready’ to leave.

Meanwhile, the Aussie bombshell highlighted his support for his fellow native.

He said: ‘Jessie and Will are really good. I think Jessie needs someone like Will.

‘People can mistake someone like Will for being silly and not having a deep side, but he definitely does. I’m rooting for them and I’m rooting for Shaq and Tanya, too.’

Spencer on the other hand shared his disappointment at leaving – after recently admitting he had a spark with Tanyel.

He said: ‘It’s a shame, me and Tanyel had just started to get to know each other, I’m sad to leave everyone but I made some good friends and met some amazing people but I didn’t find love.’

He added: ‘The vibe with Tanyel is kind of complicated. We didn’t really have much in the first week. We gave each other the eyes here and there and a bit of flirting.

‘But because I was exploring with Liv and she was exploring with Kai, it was kind of off the table at the time. But she’s a strong girl, very fiery, definitely. Sexual attraction was definitely there. I think she fancied me, too. We did vibe but I think it got cut short.’

Hope is not lost though – as Spencer admitted he intends to slide into her DM’s.

He said: ‘I’ll probably give her a message on Instagram when she comes out, just to see what happens. I’ll watch the show to see if she’s single or coupled up by the end of it . If she’s single, I’ll shoot her a message.’

Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, 25, Anna-May Robey, 20, and Haris Namani, 21, have been given the boot from the programme already.

But handed a lifeline on Sunday was Kai – who left fans shocked after his kiss with Olivia in Friday’s episode.

The pair cosied-up for the smooch outside of a challenge, leaving their co-stars delighted.

But on Twitter, fans were astounded, saying that the clinch had ‘come out of nowhere’.

One person wrote: ‘I just cannot understand where this Olivia and Kai situation came from.’

And another added: ‘I didn’t see Kai and Olivia coming and I still don’t see them. Dead match.’

Kai and Olivia had locked lips after heading to the terrace for some alone time during the episode.

They spoke about the kissing challenge, with Olivia saying: ‘I was nervous to kiss you in the challenge.’

Kai replied: ‘Were you? I actually didn’t want you to kiss me in the challenge.’

Olivia asked: ‘Why?’ and Kai then admitted: ‘I’d prefer to save it for a proper kiss.’

As their flirting deepened, Olivia said: ‘What, you want to kiss me out of a challenge.’

And Kai replied: ‘Yeah I want to kiss you out of a challenge’, leading the pair to have a passionate kiss.

After their romantic moment, they told their fellow Islanders, who were over the moon for them.

But some social media users were unconvinced by the new pairing, with some saying that the match was ‘forced’.

One person said: ‘The producers defo forced this Kai and Olivia thing, it’s yucky.’

Another wrote: ‘Actually yeah Kai and Olivia should couple up so they can bog off together.’

And a third unimpressed person added: ‘Can’t wait to vote out Kai and Olivia so they better stay together. Thank you.’

Elsewhere, a separate person penned: ‘Kai and Olivia lipsing? That’s not something I saw coming.’
