Abby Elliott "couldn’t hold her disdain" as 'The Valley's Jesse Lally shaded his ex-wife Michelle Saniei on 'WWHL': "That's not gonna go over well"

If there’s one thing Jesse Lally is going to do, it’s shade his ex-wife Michelle Saniei on national television.

The Valley star appeared alongside The Bear’s Abby Elliott on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, during which he claimed his ex-wife (and mother of his child) should be more “free” and more “fun.”

“I take my side, full accountability, but Michelle is just really, really trying to constantly create narratives about me and I think she needs to kind of apologize to herself and be a little bit more free and a little bit more fun,” he said, prompting a side-eye glance from Elliot, who happens to be a fan of The Valley.

“That’s not gonna go over well,” Lally added, to which Elliott replied, “No. I don’t know about that one.”

Host Andy Cohen then joked, “It already landed so badly with Abby. She couldn’t hold her disdain.”

Lally and Saniei announced their separation just before The Valley’s debut season premiered last year, and after watching the show, fans understood why.

Their toxic divorce has since been documented in the Bravo show’s sophomore season, with Lally repeatedly accusing Saniei of cheating on him with her current boyfriend Aaron Nosler. While both Saniei and Nosler have vehemently denied the allegations, Saniei did seem to confirm on a May episode of Watch What Happens Live that she wasn’t always faithful in her marriage.

“I did not have a boyfriend whatsoever,” she told Cohen during her appearance on the talk show. “At the end of my marriage, there was something that happened and I made a mistake. I was very clear and I told Jesse and I was very honest so he knows the truth.”

However, Lally is still convinced that something deeper happened between Saniei and Nosler before they ended their marriage.

Referring to a chat he had with Nosler on a recent episode of The Valley, Lally said, “He says in that conversation that they had this sort of emotional connection where she would ask questions about me to him and he would ask about girls he was dating, which I think is inappropriate for a married woman. Do I think that they ever crossed the physical line? I don’t. And him and I have spoken multiple times about it.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
