Unfortunately, many viewers didn’t approve of Meghan trying to curry favor with the audience by giving them tips in the home and kitchen. Viewers criticized the Duchess for being completely out of touch. Additionally, the series doesn’t film at Meghan’s home. Instead, Netflix used a nearby rental property.

Meghan has at least one famous person in her corner — and that’s Gwyneth Paltrow. The controversial Goop founder gave her approval of Meghan trying something new. The royal is reportedly overjoyed.

“They couldn’t have come at a better time,” a source told In Touch Weekly regarding Paltrow’s praise. “She’s been facing a mountain of negativity and a lot of ridicule, so to hear someone she admires so much praise and defend her has lifted her spirits so much.”

The source added that Meghan will likely invite Paltrow on her “podcast about female founders.” However, even if Paltrow doesn’t want to appear, “Meghan’s hoping that Gwyneth will accept an invite for a little get-together.”

“Gwyneth knows everyone; getting her seal of approval would be priceless as far as connections go,” the source continued. “No doubt Meghan would love to collaborate with her on something, but the first order of business will be getting to know her; she’s thrilled that this is now on the table.”

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to fully support Meghan Markle. However, rumors suggested the actor and the Duchess of Sussex had a secret feud. Paltrow addressed the rumors head-on via Instagram.

“Are you comprehending the Meghan Markle beef that social media says you two have?” a fan asked Paltrow.

“I genuinely do not understand this, at all, whatsoever,” Paltrow said on camera. She then panned the camera to Meghan, who was sitting at her kitchen table, eating a slice of pie.

“Do you understand this?” Gwyneth asked Meghan. Meghan shrugged and continued eating, making for a funny exchange.

The rumors came after Paltrow was asked whether she views Meghan’s new lifestyle brand as competition. Paltrow shut this down as well. “I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes,” she explained to Vanity Fair.

“Of course it was planned!” a fan on Reddit guessed. “Why was Gwyneth asked about Meghan in [the] Vanity Fair article? And she said she would love to eat cake with her or whatever. Now, she’s eating cake with Meghan. It was planned from the start. Gwyneth is no different from other celebrities: vain, empty, and will do anything her agent will tell her to do.”

Another fan suggested that “Meghan wants what Gwyneth Paltrow has.”

“It looks like damage limitation by their teams: shutting down damaging gossip, twin elevating, no one saw that coming, it’s a win-win, but I don’t see any collab,” the fan wrote. “Meghan wants what Gwyneth Paltrow has.
