Adele, a renowned singer long before her son Angelo was born, once found herself in a humorous situation when Angelo seemed more captivated by Taylor Swift. Although Angelo had witnessed Adele’s rehearsals, it wasn’t until he was older that he attended one of her full performances. Consequently, he was mesmerized by Swift’s concert, a reaction that Adele playfully admitted was a bit irksome.

Known for her desire to maintain a low profile outside of her music career, Adele explained that during Angelo’s early years, he was unaware of her celebrity status. He had no clue that she regularly entertained vast audiences until she took him to see Swift perform live in 2018.
Recalling the experience to Vogue, Adele shared, “His jaw dropped. I got really annoyed! I was like, Excuse me! This is what I do, you know.”
The sheer size of the crowd at the concert left Angelo in awe.
Speaking with Oprah Winfrey, as reported by People, Adele recounted Angelo’s reaction: “He’s like, ‘So many people come to her shows.’ But I make him leave before they all arrive. It was so cute and so funny.”
He seemed more interested in the possibility of Swift attending one of Adele’s concerts than actually seeing his mother perform.
“He said, When we go on tour, should I have a seat next to me with Taylor Swift’s name on it for Taylor to come?”
She has noted that he is also a fan of Billie Eilish.
He finally saw her perform in 2021
In 2021, Adele finally showed Angelo what she does for work. The then-nine-year-old was in the audience at her One Night Only concert special.
“It’s the absolute honor of my life to have you here tonight, baby,” she said after telling the crowd it was the first time he’d attended one of her concerts.
She later noted that she had “never been so nervous” before in her life. While she said that this gave Angelo some sense of how famous he is, he still didn’t fully understand it.
Taylor Swift recently broke a record held by Adele
After the release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swift broke a record held by Adele since the release of her album 25. 25 sold 3.482 million units in its first week; Showgirl sold 4 million units. The “Blank Space” singer thanked her fans for helping her set a new record.
“I’ll never forget how excited I was in 2006 when my first album sold 40,000 copies in its first week,” Swift wrote on Instagram. “I was 16 and couldn’t even fathom that that many people would care enough about my music to invest their time and energy into it. Since then I’ve tried to meet and thank as many people as I could who have given me the chance to chase this insane dream.”
Swift’s impressive record was bolstered by dozens of variants of her new record.
