Aidan Turner looked worlds away from his Poldark character Captain Ross as he was snapped rocking a brand new look on Tuesday as he took to the set of his new Disney+ series Rivals.
The Irish actor, 39, looked dramatically different as he swapped his usual stubble for a handlebar moustache.
The Poldark star appeared in good spirits as he laughed and chatted with crew and his co-stars Alex Hassell and Luke Pasqualino.
Aidan wrapped up warm for filming at the Gloucestershire countryside set, opting for a grey cargo-print jacket, labelled ‘set robe’ atop of his costume.
Underneath, the actor sported a pair of light brown trousers, brown suede shoes and a denim shirt.

Aidan adopted the hirsute look for his role as a fiery TV presenter in the Disney+ adaptation of Jilly Cooper ‘bonkbuster’ Rivals, which is set in 1986.
The shoot, at Chavenage House in the Cotswolds, marked a return to familiar territory for Turner, as the imposing house was also used as the location of the Poldark family pile, Trenwith, in the BBC drama.
Aidan’s character in Rivals, Declan O’Hara, is married to Maud, played by fellow Irish actor Victoria Smurfit.
Elsewhere on set, Luke and Alex transformed into dashing knights with shining armour as they filmed scenes on horses.
Luke slipped into a ravishing light pink shirt and beige trousers with knee-high brown boots as he mounted his trusty steed.
Alex donned a similar look, with a white shirt setting them apart.
The upcoming adaption of Jilly Cooper’s iconic novel also features Danny Dyer, David Tennant, Emily Atack, Katherine Parkinson, Oliver Chris and Claire Rushbrook.
The story is set in 1986 and follows the cut throat world of independent television, including the tense rivalry between Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell) and Lord Tony Baddingham (Tennant).

Meanwhile former Eastenders star Danny, 45, will star Freddie Jones, a self-made electronics millionaire, while Material star Lisa McGrillis has been cast as his wife Valerie.
Following the announcement executive producer and Rivals author Jilly Cooper commented: ‘I’m utterly enchanted to be able to announce our all-star line-up for Rivals’.
‘Featuring some of the best acting talent that the British Isles has to offer, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ensemble cast’.
Before adding: ‘I cannot wait to be on set and see them bring the characters I love so much to life. ‘The minute we met with Alex we knew he’d perfectly embody my all-time hero, the iconic, racy, ruthless, and devastatingly handsome, Rupert Campbell-Black. Viewers are in for a treat!’.
Poldark star Aidan will play intelligent TV presenter Declan O’Hara, whom Baddingham convinces to leave the BBC for independent channel Corinium, only for him to feel let down.
Once Upon A Time’s Victoria Smurfit will play his wife Maud O’Hara, with Sex Education’s Bella MacLean and ‘Pistol’ actress Catriona Chandler play their daughters Taggie and Caitlin respectively.

Sporting a navy suit while strolling the Gloucestershire countryside, it’s the first time he has been spotted on location since the series was announced.
Taking to the set, Danny was suited in booted in his smart ensemble while carrying a leather handbag.
He walked alongside a crew-member across the location, who snapped pictures of him from the side and front on.
Meanwhile, David added a padded jacket over his costume to keep warm in between filming scenes.
He sported a bow-tie and suit underneath the jacket, with his dark hair swept to the side in a comb-over.
Other cast-members were dressed in costumes of the time as they sported vintage mini and midi dresses and retro suits.

According to Disney+, Rivals is a ‘joyously mischievous rollercoaster ride, steamy in its love stories and packed with larger-than-life characters.’
The streaming service continues that it brings a ‘2020s lens to the 1980s’, offering a ‘raw exploration of a complicated moment in British history when class, race, sex, wealth, and sexual liberation meant that, for the very privileged few, there were no limits to what they could achieve’.
Rivals is being produced by Happy Prince, which is part of ITV Studios, and will air globally on Disney+, on Hulu in the US and on Star+ in Latin America.
Danny has been kept busy since departing EastEnders over Christmas and was spotted filming for BBC comedy Henpocalypse! this week – in which he plays a heightened version of himself.
