Alan Cumming’s wardrobe in the hit show “The Traitors” is nothing short of spectacular, captivating audiences with its bold and eye-catching designs.
While Cumming, an Emmy-winning host, contributes his flair to these daring fashion moments, it’s his stylist, Sam Spector, who orchestrates the stunning ensembles that leave viewers in awe.
“What works and what doesn’t always surprises me,” Sam shared in an exclusive conversation with E! News. “I often think an outfit will steal the spotlight, but you never really know until it airs.”
A prime example of Spector’s creative genius is Alan’s now-famous coffin coat from the fourth season’s premiere, which debuted on Peacock on January 8. This iconic piece was ingeniously crafted using two off-the-rack coats, cardboard, and beads.
“Initially, I was somewhat indifferent about it,” Sam admitted. “But now, it’s become a significant highlight. Everyone’s buzzing about the coffin coat, and I’ve grown to love it.”
Of course, Alan’s wardrobe has evolved and become more “theatrical” since season one dropped in 2023, but the inspirations for the looks—and Alan’s preference for tartans, gloves, berets and jewels—have remained the same.
