Keanu Reeves is making his Broadway debut, and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant couldn’t be prouder. 

The actor is appearing with his Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure co-star Alex Winter in a new revival of Waiting for Godot, which began its run on September 13. 

Grant – who has been dating Reeves since 2019 – took to Instagram to congratulate her boyfriend after seeing the play. 

“To Keanu – who is not on social media, and with whom I’ll share this later – your hard work and dedication to trying something new and brave is so inspiring, artist to artist,” she wrote. “Your Estragon is unlike any I’ve seen before – like a boy at times, and then raging like a man when A Boy arrives.” 

“Your Estragon is funny, lonely, pensive, philosophical and shares your ability to sleep anywhere, at any time!” she continued. “So honored to go on this creative journey with you!”

Grant, an accomplished visual artist, also gave a shout out to Winter, who plays Vladimir in the 1953 absurdist play by Samuel Beckett.

“Alex, you set the bar for friendship and creative collaboration!” she wrote. “Viva Vladimir!”

Grant also praised the overall production of Waiting for Godot, which she called “exciting, wildly imaginative, surprising… taking Beckett’s linguistic rhythms, secret codes, and themes of love, dependence, relationship, and power as stepping off points to other dimensions, play and role play. The stunning set, lighting and sound design lead me and the audience to imagine worlds and dynamics – both real and imaginary – beyond the Hudson.”

Waiting for Godot continues at the Hudson Theater through January 4, 2026.
