Amy Shark, the Australian singer and judge on “Australian Idol,” has faced backlash on social media after a TikTok video showed her appearing to criticize a mother over a crying baby during a flight.

In the video, the 39-year-old, whose real name is Amy Louise Billings, is visibly frustrated by the noise of a crying infant seated nearby, which sparked significant criticism from her followers.

Many of her fans took to the comments section to express their disapproval, labeling her actions as “unkind” and “rude” for sharing the incident online.

In the clip, the 39-year-old Australian Idol judge – real name Amy Louise Billings –  is seen getting impatient with the loud crying of an infant seated nearby.

At one point, the hitmaker can be seen pouting into the camera as the baby loudly screams. She captioned the video with a sarcastic ‘yay’.

Amy’s followers took to the comments section to call the Aussie singer ‘unkind’ and ‘rude’ for posting the clip.

Damn that’s rude of you,’ wrote one, while another said: ‘That’s pretty unkind?’

‘I understand it’s frustrating to hear, but the pure anxiety of trying everything to settle your baby on a plane and failing is awful,’ wrote another before going on to criticise Amy.

‘Parents aren’t ignoring it, they’re overwhelmed. This video is sh**ty.’

‘As a mum flying with a baby soon, videos like this just increase anxiety for parents who are already trying their best,’ commented another person.

Many people showed sympathy for the mother, with one person telling Amy: ‘Maybe offer to help,’ while another said: ‘Imagine how stressed out that poor mama is feeling.’

Others pointed out that Amy appeared to be wearing expensive noise cancelling headphones and were baffled as to why she even cared about the crying.

‘Oh what, your 1k headphones not cancelling the noise? one wrote, as another asked: ‘So you’re noise cancelling headphones don’t work?’

Meanwhile, one seemed to suggest that Amy intended the post to be humorous, asking the star: ‘That didn’t land the way you thought it would, hey?’

Another seemed to agree that the post was a misfired joke and commented: ‘I did not expect this from you at all.

‘I’m trying to figure out if you did this as satire or [if] you’ve changed?’

Amy shocked fans back in July after she told a social media troll that she does not care whether he ‘lives or dies’.

She made the comment after she shared a video of herself performing one of her old tunes.

A man identified only as ‘Rupert’ made a critical remark about the singer’s signature bun hairstyle, writing: ‘Oh the bun is back ffs get rid of it.’

She was quick to shut him down in her fiery response.

‘I’ll have you know that I’m just relaxing at home and my hair is up, so it doesn’t go in my food. I also don’t give a f**k if you live or die… so there’s that,’ Amy penned with a shrug emoji.

The ARIA Award-winning artist doubled down on her clapback later as she posted a second video addressing the online interaction.

‘This guy wrote a comment to me the other night and trust me I don’t read comments, it just happened to pop down while I was on TikTok,’ Amy began her video.

‘I read it and thought “That’s not nice.”‘

‘I mean they all suck and I approve them all because I don’t really care. I just replied to him and I absolutely wiped the floor with this guy.

‘And now he’s all like “Aw but”,’ she pouted. ‘Don’t be an a**hole. I’m a bigger one.’
