Amy Slaton and her husband Michael Halterman are officially filing divorce after welcoming their second child last year.

Less than a year ago, the 35-year-old reality star and the 40-year-old mill operator welcomed their son Glenn but reportedly have not been living together amid marital issues.

According to Kentucky state documents obtained by Us Weekly, Halterman filed for dissolution of marriage with children on March 13.

Previously, Amy – who previously revealed fears over her son’s weight – had removed their children out of their shared family home and moved in with her sister Tammy, as previously reported by The U.S. Sun.

In late February, a source revealed that the couple had not been living together for seven months already amid arguments about letting their children appear on the hit TLC series.

‘[Michael] doesn’t want the kids to be on the show, but Amy disagrees,’ the insider told The U.S. Sun.

‘They have been fighting over this for months,’ they said, nothing that Amy also felt Michael was ‘lazy’ with helping out with their children.

The source also added that Michael had been acting ‘jealous’ over the attention Amy was giving their children – Gage, two, and Glenn, eight months – rather than him.

Previously, Amy and Michael met In high school and dated for several years.

They tied the knot in March 2019 and had been married for nearly four years.

The pair welcomed their first child in November 2020 and their second son in July 2022.

For over half a year, Amy has allegedly been living with her sister Tammy, 36 – who had just recently exchanged vows with new husband Caleb Willingham, 39, and moved into a two-bedroom home.

However, a source also revealed that Tammy feels like her sister is ‘overstaying her welcome’.

The insider said Tammy has been ‘feeling frustrated with Amy being over at her home with the kids.’

‘Tammy is happy to help Amy but feels like she is raising two kids since they’re around her home all of the time,’ they stated.

In January 2020, the two sisters made their big break with the debut of 1000-Lb. Sisters – which also followed the their relationships as they exchanged vows with their partners and started expanding their families.

The hit TLC show follows sisters Amy and Tammy – who weighed over a thousand pounds combined at the time of the show’s premiere – on their journey to lose weight so they can start living their lives fully.
