Hailey and Justin Bieber headed to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival for week one of the festivities. The couple has been under fire throughout 2025. Insiders have alleged that Hailey and Justin endured several rough patches due to Justin’s possible involvement in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest and upcoming trial. Others have wondered about the couple after Justin appeared to go on a mass unfollowing spree online.

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke to Casino.ca about Hailey and Justin’s Coachella body language.

“When Hailey drives the vehicle, she appears uneasy,” Honigman noticed. “Her body is slouched forward, showing that she’s not feeling very energetic ahead of a weekend of music and fun. Hailey’s face is pensive, her eyes are gazing downwards and to the side, showing her lost in thought. While she drives, we see her lips thinning, which is a mark of stress.”

As for Justin, he’s “leaning behind her, his head quite low as if he’s hiding.”

Honigman noticed a “reversal” during Yeat’s Coachella set.

“During Yeat’s set, we see a reversal of their typical pose; Justin is at the front, with Hailey right behind him,” she said. “This is extremely interesting because the majority of Justin and Hailey’s photos when out and about show him hugging her from behind, even when they’re walking, so much so that this ‘back hug’ has become their signature pose. This reversal suggests that Hailey wants to be as protective and supportive of Justin as he always wants to be of her.”

“During other parts of the show, Justin is back in his favorite spot, right behind Hailey, providing her with a strong back,” Honigman continued. “This suggests they have quite a dependent relationship, as they need to feel each other physically present at all times.”

Justin Bieber looks ‘under threat’ at Coachella, the expert said

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman explained more about Hailey and Justin Bieber’s dynamic during Coachella.

“When we see the pair chatting, Hailey looks at Justin, while he looks all around,” Honigman continued. “This shows that he’s their protector, their defender. Even though he appears a little distracted as his eyes are not focused on his wife, the intent seems to be positive, he’s scanning the crowd for any threats. He’s not focusing on anyone or anything, just checking the lay of the land.”

Honigman noted that Hailey’s “eyes” show how she’s “happy to prioritize her man.”

“Justin’s scanning of the area around him seems to be a new habit that we view several times during that Coachella evening,” she continued. “Even when he sits still, his eyes are darting around him. He is nervous and might even be feeling under threat and unsafe.”

The singer confronted the paparazzi before the music festival began

On April 9, Justin Bieber had a run-in with the paparazzi that made headlines. The singer/songwriter was outside of a coffee shop in Palm Springs when a photographer trying to catch a glimpse of him told him, “Good morning.”

“No, not good morning,” Justin said, according to Us Weekly. “[You] want money, money, money, money … get out of here. All you want is money. Go. Get out of here. All you guys want is money. You don’t care about people. Only money. No people. You don’t care about human beings.”

It’s unclear if the incident affected Justin and Hailey’s time at Coachella.
