Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour” has galloped into the spotlight, setting the stage for one of the most talked-about events of 2025. Since its announcement in February, the tour has experienced overwhelming demand, with presale tickets selling out rapidly and Ticketmaster’s website crashing due to the surge. Initially comprising 22 shows across eight cities, the tour expanded to 31 dates. As of mid-March, Live Nation reported that 94% of tickets were sold. And over a million tickets were snapped up during presales alone. However, other reports suggested Beyoncé didn’t sell as many tickets as she hoped. Beyoncé allegedly feels stressed over the ‘Cowboy Carter’ ticket sales
Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour” launched on April 28, 2025, in Los Angeles. It has rapidly become one of the most talked-about events of the year. In support of her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, the tour has captivated audiences across North America and Europe. The album, a genre-blending masterpiece that fuses elements of country, rock, folk, and R&B, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts. Beyoncé is the first Black woman to achieve this milestone.
Looking at the numbers, the ticket sales are nothing to scoff at. Within the first month, over 1 million tickets were sold during presales. And 94% of all tickets sold across the 31-date tour. Notably, shows in cities like Houston, Atlanta, Washington D.C., and Chicago sold out. However, an insider told In Touch Weekly that some of the tour dates didn’t sell out as fast as Beyoncé hoped, leaving her anxious.
“It’s very upsetting and quite frankly shocking that the tickets are not selling out as fast as they have in the past,” the source alleged. “Everyone on team Beyoncé is insisting it’s not the dire situation that social media is trying to make it out to be; still, it’s very stressful.”
“Beyoncé has very high standards and is used to not only selling out but selling out very quickly, so no doubt this is a huge dose of humble pie for her,” the insider continued. That said, the source added that Beyoncé doesn’t “show any sort of distress or worry” outwardly and maintains her superstar persona while on stage.
Tina Knowles mocked the notion that Beyoncé is ‘struggling’ to sell tickets
Tina Knowles has been a steadfast presence on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour”, offering both emotional support and public recognition. At the May 1 show in Los Angeles, Beyoncé honored her mother by inviting her onstage to celebrate the success of Tina’s memoir, Matriarch, which had recently topped the New York Times Best Sellers list. Joined by her granddaughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, the family moment underscored the deep-rooted bonds that influence Beyoncé’s artistry.
Tina also isn’t afraid to clap back at those claiming that ticket sales remain slow. She posted a clip to social media of a packed stadium. Her daughter sang on stage while the crowd cheered, hollered, and sang along.
“‘Struggling ticket sales,’” she captioned the post posted to Reddit.
Some fans pointed out the high price for ‘Cowboy Carter’ tickets
Whether Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter Tour” sells out every stadium or has plenty of seats to spare, Beyoncé’s shows will always be in high demand to some degree. However, some fans pointed out on Reddit that they didn’t want to pay the high prices for tickets.
“I just looked at the last two dates in LA, there’s about 40% available; honestly, I’m shocked,” a fan on Reddit wrote. “I thought it would be like 15%, but looking at the prices, no wonder; first section on the floor is above $1,000, girl ….”
“Billboard is saying her average ticket price was $670 during the presale,” another fan pointed out. “That’s Adele residency in Vegas level. ‘Eras’ was $238 in the US.”
Another fan commented on the ticket sales.
“Beyoncé attempted to sell at a very high average ticket price (above $275),” they explained. “While she sold significant inventory at that point, she wasn’t able to sell out, so she cut prices very significantly. Even so, there’s still inventory available at quite low price points. There also seems to be a lot of resale inventory available … resellers evidently expected the tour to do well, purchased tickets, and are now eating significant losses.”
