Jennifer Lopez has made it clear she’s no longer interested in discussing her personal life publicly, but Ana Navarro, one of the co-hosts on The View, believes that such topics remain open for discussion.
During today’s episode of The View, the panel addressed Lopez’s recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live. In that interview, Lopez expressed her desire to avoid discussing her personal relationships further, especially after host Andy Cohen brought up her split from Alex Rodriguez.
Navarro had some thoughts on this stance. “Here’s the issue with J-Lo,” she explained. “No one is prying into her past with her first husband, the Cuban waiter from Miami, Ojani Noa, or her dancer partner. But when you’re involved with high-profile figures like Ben Affleck, Marc Anthony, and A-Rod, it naturally generates public curiosity. People want to know, and they will ask.”
Navarro humorously suggested that if Lopez wishes to retreat from the celebrity spotlight, she might consider dating someone less famous, perhaps “an unknown, anonymous, gorgeous, young man.”
Lopez, who has been married and divorced four times, appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night (October 15). During the show, Cohen broached the topic of a rumored texting scandal involving Rodriguez and Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy, speculating whether it was the catalyst for the end of their engagement.
After some hesitation, Lopez finally answered, “You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore. I feel like I’m done with that.”
Lopez was previously married to Noa from 1997 to 1998, Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and Anthony from 2004 to 2014. The Maid in Manhattan star shares two children with Anthony.
Shortly after her split from Rodriguez, a former New York Yankee, in 2021, Lopez rekindled her romance with Affleck, whom she previously dated in the early aughts. While they got married in 2022, they ultimately decided to go their separate ways two years later.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
