On Wednesday night, Andy Cohen delved into a variety of celebrity conflicts on Watch What Happens Live, including a clash involving Ashley Tisdale and some tension within the Beckham family.
The Bravo Clubhouse was bustling with guests such as Charley Manley from Southern Charm, Dancing with the Stars finalist Dylan Efron, and iconic figures from Traitors, Boston Rob and Maura Higgins. The conversation got interesting when a virtual audience member brought up Tisdale’s fallout with her celebrity mom circle, a topic she had discussed in an article for The Cut.
“I really try to keep my distance from that, so I’m not fully aware of the details,” Dylan remarked. “Ashley has always been incredibly kind to me since childhood, so it’s hard to imagine her involved in any malicious behavior with the mom group. I hope it’s just a misunderstanding, but honestly, I’m not up to speed with the situation.”
Dylan’s connection with Tisdale dates back to the early 2000s when she co-starred with his brother, Zac Efron, in the Disney Channel sensation High School Musical, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Echoing his earlier sentiment, Dylan expressed, “I truly don’t know what transpired,” alluding to the rumored involvement of Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore. “Ashley has always been so supportive, even coming to cheer me on at Dancing with the Stars. I just can’t pinpoint the source of this drama.”
Cohen, for his part, got a little shady, telling Dylan, “Yeah, she had time on her hands because she got dumped by the mom group.”
“Sorry! I mean, I love her. She’s been on this show, by the way,” Cohen clarified. “Anyway, I’m seated.”
The Bravo icon then added, “I stand with Posh, while we’re talking about current events,” referring to the Spice Girl’s son, Brooklyn Beckham, outing their dirty laundry to the world earlier this week.
In a scathing Instagram Story, Brooklyn accused his parents of spreading lies in the media “to preserve their own facade.” Brooklyn claimed Victoria backed out of making his wife Nicola Peltz’s wedding dress “in the eleventh hour,” and that the family had not been accepting of the actress. He also alleged that his mother “hijacked” their first dance at their wedding by calling him up to the stage and “inappropriately” dancing on him in front of their guests.
“Well, you’re pals with [Summer House alum] Lexi [Wood], who dated Brooklyn,” Cohen told Manley, who replied, “Oh, yeah. But I’ve never talked to her about her relationship with Brooklyn.”
Cohen added, “I’d like to bring her back to have that conversation.”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
