Andy Cohen shared an awkward exchange with Tuesday night’s (Oct. 7) Bravo Clubhouse bartender on Watch What Happens Live.
Right as the broadcast began, viewers at home noticed that someone was standing directly in front of the camera, blocking Cohen, who was trying to deliver his opening introductions.
“Hey, everybody! Uh … careful,” he said once he noticed the camera was covered by the body of Top Chef alum Gregory Gourdet, who quickly scooted out of the way. “My man, you’re walking right in front of the camera, buddy. Wow. Never had that happen.”
Instead of going back to the Clubhouse bar where he was supposed to wait for his own introduction, Gourdet moved behind Cohen, Mary Cosby, and Adam Pally and delivered a drink to each guest.
“Welcome to Watch What Happens Live. Wow, thank you,” Cohen said when Gourdet handed him the beverage. “I’m your host, Andy Cohen, live in the Bravo Clubhouse on Salt Lake City night.”
After the live polls, Cohen finally turned his attention to Gourdet, who shared the ingredients of his “zero proof” recipe, which included pineapple, banana, and rice syrup.
“This is delicious. You know what would make this great? A little tequila,” Cohen joked.
Watch What Happens Live fans, meanwhile, were quick to hop on X (formerly known as Twitter) to talk about Cohen’s reaction to Gourdet’s camera snafu.
“Andy tried so hard to not look pissed. I thought he was going to pop a blood vessel,” one quipped, while another added, “Reel it in @andy! No reason to embarrass the guy on national TV. Yeesh.”
“He such a diva omggg,” a third person said.
“#WWHL was amazing tonight!” someone else wrote. “The chef in the camera at the beginning and Andy’s phone going off and MARY COSBY. What a show!”
Another said, “That man walking in front of that camera took me OUT!”
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
