The latest addition to the “Beverly Hills Housewives” lineup is here to stay.
Amanda Frances, who joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its 15th season, has quickly made waves, particularly due to her run-ins with veteran housewife Dorit Kemsley. Despite the tension brewing between Amanda and some of the other cast members, this Bravo newcomer is not backing down.
Amanda Frances denies reports she quit ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’
Addressing rumors that she had exited the show prematurely, Amanda recently took to Instagram to set the record straight. “Lol this is not true,” she clarified on her Instagram Story, responding to a headline claiming she had left the series. She further assured fans by mentioning that her schedule still includes her final interview, an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, and the reunion special.
Backing up Amanda’s denial, Housewives producer Andy Cohen has also confirmed that she did not leave the show midway through the season.
“I’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether Amanda Frances quit halfway through filming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. No, she absolutely did not,” Cohen stated during his February 9 broadcast of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
“A lot of people have been asking me that Amanda Frances, that she quit halfway through filming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. No. She absolutely didn’t,” Cohen said during the February 9 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live.
“And by the way, I think Amanda Frances is great for the show … She’s like a self-made person and I think the viewers are reacting to her, the women are reacting to her, she’s got a story to tell, and so give her a break, everybody. Give her a break,” he continued.
Andy Cohen stands up for Amanda Frances
The Watch What Happens Live host went on to defend Amanda from online bullies.
“Some [person] with a decent amount of followers tagged me in a really mean post about Amanda Frances and it was just, it was so mean and I was like, ‘You know what? This woman is gonna wake up in LA, she’s got two small kids. She will probably be woken up in LA. She’s been on this show for three months, something she shot a year ago, and she’s gonna read that and her day is going to be ruined,’” he shared.
“So I DM the guy and I said, ‘You know, I love your passion for the show,’ or something like that. I said, ‘But you know, these are human beings and this is really mean,’” he went on to say.
The internet troll responded in a “respectful” way, Cohen said. And after some back and forth, he deleted his post.
“I hope she never saw it, but it felt good and he was so nice,” Cohen said. “He was like, ‘Thanks for talking to me this morning, king.’”
