Chainsaw Man’s Reze Arc anime movie gets a major reveal with the release date finally announced for its U.S. run, courtesy of Sony Pictures.
On Dec. 30, 2024, Ai originally announced that she had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) earlier in 2024, and that she would be limiting her work activities to focus on her health and recovery. At the time, she said that she was sorry for taking the time off, but that she wanted to be able to “stand in front of everyone with a healthy figure.” The cause of her PTSD was stated to be a private matter, with Ai requesting that the public refrain from speculating about it or trying to pry for more information.
Happily, Ai has now posted that, following a doctor’s diagnosis, she will be lifting these restrictions and resuming regular activities. As part of the announcement, she apologized for causing concern and inconveniencing everyone involved, as well as thanked everyone who has supported her throughout the process, allowing her to start anew in a new environment. She also went on to thank her fans for believing in her and supporting her through her hiatus, adding, “You didn’t rush me or ask me any questions, but just waited kindly and sent me so many heartfelt letters. Your presence was a great encouragement to me…I will turn the kindness I’ve received from you all into courage, and from now on, I will continue to face each job carefully, face myself, and forge ahead with a strong heart to walk the path I believe is right.”
