Dragon Ball Super Hero's Cell Max Gets a Perfect Form in Viral Artwork

Cell Max, the final villain in the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero anime movie, has been reimagined into the Perfect Cell form of his Dragon Ball Z ancestor.

On the official Dragon Ball Z Reddit forum, /PMatty73 recently uploaded older fan art of “Perfect Call Max” by Indonesian artist adb3388 (ade.bw_ on Instagram). While Cell Max was nearly identical to the original Cell from Dragon Ball Z, his form was more akin to the bio-android’s Semi-Perfect state than the finished product. Cell Max was also far more barbaric in personality than the sophisticated Perfect Cell, and adb3388’s illustration is a striking reimagining of what Cell Max could have looked like if he were able to achieve physical and intellectual perfection in the animated movie.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 101 again confirms for many fans why Vegeta and Goku’s rivalry is among the best and most exciting in all of shonen.

Additionally, adb3388 has illustrated two more amazing drawings featuring Perfect Cell Max — one where Perfect Cell Max is staring down adult Gohan in his Beast form and another where the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero cast is presented like a vs. tournament match in a video game. Of course, the Dragon Ball series is no stranger to the fighting game genre.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi, the most famous fighting game series within the franchise, is about to receive a new installment after an absence of over 15 years called Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Some anime fans who have waited more than a decade for a new Budokai Tenkaichi game nearly fell for a fake leak suggesting that Sparking! Zero would be released in August. However, the culprit confessed to making the fake on social media X (formerly Twitter) before the faux teaser could spread further online.
