Naruto Anime Movies Land Free Streaming Home for a Ninja Marathon Weekend
As part of a plethora of anime options being highlighted by the streaming service, the end of May marks the addition of over 800 hours of anime content on Pluto TV. Unlike competitors such as Crunchyroll or Netflix, Pluto is completely free to sign up and watch both live TV and saved favorites. A big part of the celebration on Memorial Day weekend is a Naruto movie marathon, which will run from Saturday to Sunday. It still hasn’t been announced which movies in the franchise will be included in the lineup or how far along in the series they will go. There are 11 Naruto movies overall, including the now 10-year-old Boruto: Naruto the Movie. Given that these are all roughly less than two hours in length, when combined with commercials for ads on the free streaming service, airing all of these should be enough to last from Saturday to Sunday.
Many of these Naruto movies are also available to stream anytime on Pluto TV, but the marathon will be on the platform’s Anime Movies channel. Naruto also won’t be the only major anime franchise to enjoy the spotlight on Pluto, with the “Anime All Day” Channel showing a marathon of Death Note from May 26- 31. Other works include the tearjerker Clannad and classic anime movies based on the City Hunter and Lupin the 3rd franchises. This comes after Pluto TV recently had a similar marathon for the anime version of Hunter x Hunter, and gaining these hits is making it into a growing juggernaut for anime streaming. Pluto TV currently streams the entirety of the first Naruto anime, with all 220 episodes available on demand.
