One Piece fans are in for a rough February, as two critically acclaimed movies will soon leave Netflix. These movies were only available on the popular streaming platform for U.S. viewers, now making them far more difficult to track down.
According to What’s On Netflix, the streaming service will lose both One Piece Movie: The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta and One Piece: Episode of Chopper: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Sakura on Feb. 15, 2025. These animated films retell the most popular and emotionally-driven story arcs from the One Piece series. The first film centers around Nefeltari Vivi, previously known as “Ms. Wednesday,” while the second animated movie revolves around the Straw Hat Pirates’ recruitment of Tony Tony Chopper.

Two Beloved One Piece Anime Movies Leave Netflix This February
Currently, The Desert Princess and the Pirates: Adventures in Alabasta and Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura are not available to stream on any other platform in the U.S. besides Netflix. Although the theatrical films have essentially the same story arcs as the anime TV series, they’re presented with new animation worthy of the big screen. However, the biggest selling point of these films is that they condensed their lengthy source material to a two-hour-or-less experience, allowing fans to quickly experience the emotional highs of the stories without re-watching (or re-reading) hours of content.
This is a godsend for those who want to relive the “Alabasta Arc” and “Drum Island Arc” before Season 2 of the live-action One Piece series on Netflix, as both stories will heavily influence the new season. The “Alabasta Arc,” in particular, was the first major One Piece storyline that stretched over 60 chapters and nearly 40 episodes. However, the “Whisky Peak Arc” is where Vivi’s story truly begins, stretching the saga further to over 100 chapters and over 60 episodes. The “Alabasta Arc” was a significant departure from the shorter story arcs that filled up the “East Blue” Saga and would set the stage for even longer storylines in the future, such as the infamous “Wano Country” story arc.
