Fans of Kaiju No. 8 have already met a number of strong characters, whether they are human, Kaiju, or some type of hybrid. All of these characters are dangerous in their own way, but some are rightfully more dangerous than others. Some of Kaiju No. 8‘s most dangerous characters are part of the Defensive Force, which is tasked with protecting people from Kaiju. Most of these individuals do not pose a danger to humans, but they are extremely dangerous from a Kaiju’s perspective.

Many of Kaiju No. 8‘s most dangerous characters are identified Kaiju. For the most part, these Kaiju only want to destroy cities and kill humans. These Kaiju are incredibly powerful, and they possess deadly abilities. Even the series’ kindest character can become a dangerous threat if he loses control of his power.

Kikoru is the daughter of Hikari Shinomiya, the former Captain of the Second Division, and Isao Shinomiya, the former Director General of the Defense Force. This means fighting Kaiju is literally in her blood. Kikoru is a prodigy who has earned recognition from all her peers, which explains why she was given Numbers Weapon 4 shortly after joining the Defense Force. Her innate power and her desire to become stronger make her a danger to most Kaiju that stand in her way.

Kikoru can singlehandedly eliminate a horde of Yoju and their Honju with minimal difficulty, and she can defeat Kaiju with a fortitude level of 7.0. When using approximately 94% of her unleashed combat power, Kikoru can fight on par with an identified Kaiju. This was seen when she sliced through Kaiju No. 9’s duplicate with ease. Her skills eventually reach Captain-level, making her one of the Defense Force’s most effective fighters.

Soshiro Hoshina Is Arguably The Defense Force’s Deadliest Melee Fighter

Soshiro Hoshina is the current Vice-Captain of the Third Division, and he comes from a clan of renowned swordsmen. Most members of the Defense Force look down on him because of his “outdated” fighting style, but that has not stopped him from honing his skills to the point that he can be considered amongst the Defense Force’s most dangerous melee fighters. Hoshina might be at a disadvantage when fighting large-sized Kaiju, but he can cut down small to mid-sized Kaiju in seconds.

When unleashing 92% of his combat power, Hoshina overwhelmed Kafka’s Kaiju form to the point that he exposed Kafka’s core before Kafka could react. Hoshina may have been overwhelmed by Kaiju No.10’s enlarged form, but he was able to match its base form. In a standard fight, Hoshina would be able to cut down most of the First Division’s members, including its Captain.

Before being absorbed by Kaiju No. 9, Isao Shinomiya was the Director General of the Defense Force, and he was the previous Captain of the First Division. He was a very authoritative and serious man who expected perfection, but underneath his cold exterior, he was a warm person who cared about his daughter and the future of Japan. For years, Isao was the Defense Force’s strongest soldier, making him a threat to every Kaiju in existence.

Isao’s unleashed combat power usually reached 80%, but when he used the full extent of his Numbers Weapon, his power exceeded 100%. While using Kaiju No. 2’s power, Isao could produce highly destructive energy from his gauntlets. He could also use a burst attack that can destroy a large city instantaneously. Isao held his own against Kafka’s Kaiju form for some time, and he would have done serious damage to Kaiju No. 9 if it had not evolved.

As the Captain of the Third Division, Mina Ashiro is the Defense Force’s strongest female soldier, as well as one of its strongest members. She is a determined woman with a tough exterior, but she is actually a caring person who wants to keep everyone safe. When it comes to fighting enemy Kaiju, however, Mina is ruthless, as she has personally killed hundreds of Kaiju since joining the Defense Force at 18.

Mina’s maximum unleashed combat power is 96%, which gives her immense physical abilities. She is a master marksman who wields a giant canon with deadly accuracy, and her skills have earned her the title of the Defense Force’s Strongest Supergiant-Class Killer. When dealing with giant-sized Kaiju, it is said that Mina is stronger than First Division Captain Gen Narumi. According to the current Director General, the impact of Kaiju No. 6 would have been significantly reduced if Mina had been part of the Defense Force when it attacked.

Kaiju No. 2 looks very similar to classic Kaiju monsters because of its bulky and rocky frame, and it is just as dangerous as them. It was killed by the Defense Force in 1979 and converted into Numbers Weapon 2, but it has since been absorbed by Kaiju No. 9. As a result, Kaiju No. 9 has temporarily become unbeatable. During its initial rampage, Kaiju No. 2 destroyed most of Sapporo, a major city on Japan’s second-largest island.

Kaiju No. 2 was difficult to take down because it had the ability to produce a shield that protected it from powerful attacks. In terms of offense, it could release devastating sonic attacks, and it could produce electrical energy blasts from its mouth that could level multiple buildings at the same time. Even as a Numbers Weapon, Kaiju No. 2 could injure Kafka’s base Kaiju form, but it could not compete with Kaiju No. 8’s berserker mode.

Kaiju No. 10 was the main villain of the Raid on Tachikawa Base Arc, and it was created by Kaiju No. 9 to identify and defeat the strongest member of the Defense Force that it could find. It was a ruthless Identified Daikaiju that would kill and destroy anything that stood in its way, and it took great pride in the fact that it was the leader of dozens of Preondactyl Kaiju. It could command these Pterodactyls to attack civilians at any time.

Kaiju No. 10 was able to put vice-captain Hoshina on the defensive with its immense strength and speed, which means its strength was comparable to Kaiju No. 8’s. Its power significantly increased whenever its body grew in size, and this action caused its fortitude level to rise to a maximum of 9.0. Kaiju No. 10 could deliver devastating punches, but it could also fire projectiles from its fingers, which were strong enough to destroy buildings and cut through flesh.

Gen Narumi Is The Most Dangerous Member Of The Defense Force

Gen Narumi is the Captain of the Defense Force’s First Division, which makes him the strongest anti-Kaiju fighter in Japan. As far as Kaiju are concerned, Narumi is the most dangerous human on Earth. As a captain, Narumi can access a large amount of his combat suit’s power, reaching a maximum output of 98%. Despite being lazy and childish most of the time, Narumi is a deadly fighter who quickly surpassed director Shinomiya, and he can seemingly defeat Kaiju No. 8 if needed.

When he unleashes his power, Narumi gains near-superhuman strength and speed, and he has mastered a bayonet fighting style that allows him to simultaneously slash and shoot Kaiju. Narumi possesses the retinas of Kaiju No. 1, which allows him to predict when and where an enemy will attack by seeing their brain impulses. Thanks to this Numbers Weapon, Narumi can cut down a duplicated version of Kaiju No. 9, which was still considered a national-level threat.

Kaiju No. 6 has not appeared in the anime yet, but it was neutralized by the Defense Force a decade ago. It has since been converted into Numbers Weapon 6, which is currently being used by Reno Ichikawa, an officer with the Fourth Division. Kaiju No. 6 was a massive Kaiju that looked like a theropod dinosaur with short arms and large legs, but it also possessed large teeth and four gigantic tails that dwarfed its main body.

Kaiju No. 6 is considered the King of Kaiju because of its 9.6 fortitude level. It also caused the greatest recorded cataclysm, which resulted in the death of hundreds of Defense Force members, including Hikari Shinomiya, the then-Second Division Captain. It left most of Japan in ruins as well. Kaiju No. 6 had the power to generate and control ice, and its mere presence on the battlefield covered Japan in a frigid snowstorm.

Kafka Hibeno, otherwise known as Kaiju No. 8, is the main protagonist of the series. For most of his life, Kafka was an ordinary human, but that all changed when a small Kaiju entered his body and transformed him into a humanoid identified Kaiju. As Kaiju No. 8, Kafka possesses incredible strength, durability, speed, reflexes, and regeneration. It appears as though Kafka has an unlimited energy source, which allows him to produce powerful energy attacks.

Under normal circumstances, Kafka, retains his selfless and caring human personality, but he becomes a rampaging monster when he loses control of his Kaiju form. While in this state, Kafka’s Kaiju body significantly grows in size and power. This version of Kafka quickly overwhelmed director Isao Shinomiya, and it has the power to tear through the majority of the Defense Force if Kafka cannot regain control of his body in time. The main reason Kafka was transferred to the First Division is because the group is seemingly strong enough to kill him if he does lose control.

Kaiju No. 9 is the main antagonist of the series, and the argument can be made that it is Kaiju No. 8‘s strongest character. The overall strength debate may still be undecided, but there is no doubt that it is by far the most dangerous being on Earth. Kaiju No. 9 wishes to establish a new era where Kaiju dominate the world, which explains why it is eager to wipe out the Defense Force. It is personally responsible for all the recent major Kaiju attacks, and it has created the latest identified Kaiju to do its bidding.

Aside from its immense physical abilities, Kaiju No. 9 has the power to evolve at an accelerated rate. After its initial fight with Kafka, it evolved to the point that it could overpower Isao Shinomiya and withstand attacks from both Kafka and Captain Narumi. Kaiju No. 9 can produce powerful duplicates of itself, and it can launch surprise attacks by shapeshifting into humans. Its most dangerous offensive ability involves shooting chunks of its body through its fingers and other appendages. These chunks travel at high speeds and can tear through Kaiju armor and Defense Force suits like butter. After absorbing Kaiju No. 2, it can now generate large-scale electrical blasts.
