As far as the Dragon Ball timeline goes, Dragon Ball DAIMA is set nearly 15 years before the events of Dragon Ball GT. Formidable as Vegeta and Piccolo may be in the currently ongoing anime, they’re far weaker than their older selves, simply because they haven’t had the same time to train. That said, transformations have always been the series’ biggest equalizer and Dragon Ball DAIMA‘s Goku just gained access to his Dragon Ball GT counterpart’s greatest form.

Dragon Ball GT’s cast is mostly stronger than Dragon Ball DAIMA’s, but Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku is far more powerful than any of his friends. Even if he can’t quite compare to GT’s Super Saiyan 4 Goku, SSJ4 Mini Goku can still defeat the vast majority of characters in the non-canon anime. If a character in Dragon Ball GT can’t hold their own against Super Saiyan 4 Goku, they don’t stand a chance against Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku either.

Ledgic is Goku’s First Major Opponent in Dragon Ball GT

Ledgic is the strongest warrior on Imecka and the enforcer of Dragon Ball GT’s first villain, Don Kee. By virtue of appearing so early in the anime, Ledgic is weaker than nearly every major combatant introduced after him. But with what he’s able to achieve during his limited screentime, Ledgic proves himself stronger than most of Dragon Ball Z’s cast.

Ledgic fights against Goku, and is able to push him into his Super Saiyan form. While impressive, this is all he’s able to do, as Goku defeats him without powering up any further. Goku enjoys his battle against Ledgic, but it wouldn’t have been so entertaining for him if he’d used Super Saiyan 2 to simply blow him away.

Haze Shenron is the Weakest of the Shadow Dragons

Haze Shenron is More Laughable Than Threatening

Born from the corruption of the Dragon Balls, the Shadow Dragons are the final antagonists in Dragon Ball GT. While all powerful in their own right, Haze Shenron is far and away the weakest of the group. He’s the first Dragon that Goku and Pan locate, and swiftly becomes the first Dragon they kill.

The Two-Star Dragon, Haze Shenron is powered by pollution. While this gives him some unique techniques, it doesn’t give him the strength needed to avoid being injured by Pan, or defeated by her and Super Saiyan Goku. In all likelihood, Dragon Ball DAIMA’s Goku could have defeated Haze Shenron before unlocking Super Saiyan 4.

Gohan Doesn’t Keep Training in Dragon Ball GT

Gohan Fails to Keep Up with Goku and Vegeta

By the end of Dragon Ball Z, Gohan is the strongest Z-Warrior by a wide margin, but since he doesn’t care about martial arts or training, he loses much of his power by Dragon Ball GT. By the time the anime starts, Goku, Vegeta, and Uub are all likely stronger than Gohan, and this only gets more true as the story progresses.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Episode 18 Makes Anime History in Another Perfect Half Hour of Television

Dragon Ball DAIMA’s big battle between Goku and Gomah gives fans what they want — and more — in a gorgeous, action-heavy, Super Saiyan spectacle.

Gohan is a minor character in Dragon Ball GT, so he doesn’t get many opportunities to fight. When he is given the opportunity to be a hero, he falls to Baby as easily as the rest of Earth’s population, and is later beaten by General Rildo. During the final battle against Omega Shenron, Gohan is useless and incapable of providing anything but the barest of assistance to Goku and Vegeta.

Rage Shenron Poses No Challenge to Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku

Rage Shenron is only moderately stronger than Haze Shenron. The Five-Star Dragon, Rage Shenron possesses electrical powers and the ability to hinder his enemies with special slime. While he’s able to put up more of a fight than his predecessor, he’s still introduced and destroyed within the span of a single episode.

To Rage Shenron’s credit, Goku does utilize Super Saiyan 4 against him. Unfortunately for the Shadow Dragon, this power-up elevates Goku to a level he can’t compete with. By the time the fight ends, Goku doesn’t even need to be in his Super Saiyan form to finish him off.

Oceanus Shenron is Stronger Than Most Inhabitants of the Demon Realm

Oceanus Shenron’s Mastery Over Water isn’t Enough to Combat Goku

Oceanus Shenron is the third Shadow Dragon Goku and Pan combat in Dragon Ball GT. The Six-Star Dragon, Oceanus Shenron possesses mastery over water. Like many other villains in the franchise, she also has an alternate, far stronger form than the one she initially presents herself in.

While Goku does receive assistance from Pan in defeating Oceanus Shenron, the circumstances around her downfall don’t do her reputation any favors. Specifically, Goku never needs Super Saiyan during his fight against Oceanus. Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku would defeat Oceanus Shenron in less time than it took Third Eye Gomah to defeat Majin Duu.

General Rildo is Even Stronger Than Majin Buu

Rildo is One of the Most Powerful Aliens in Dragon Ball History

General Rildo’s level of strength is inexplicable, but nonetheless clearly stated. A Machine Mutant serving under the command of Dr. Myuu, Rildo’s power level is explicitly higher than Majin Buu’s. Additionally, he has the unique abilities to enhance himself by fusing with metal, and to turn other people into metal slabs.

Naturon Shenron Could Deceive, But Never Defeat Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku

Naturon Shenron Has No Way to Overpower Dragon Ball DAIMA’s Goku

At first glance, Naturon Shenron doesn’t seem too threatening. The earth-powered, Seven-Star Shadow Dragon initially presents himself as a dumb, innocent mole who doesn’t realize that he’s hurting people. In actuality, Naturon Shenron is a devious manipulator and the first Shadow Dragon to truly challenge Goku & Pan.

Naturon Shenron is able to successfully combat Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Had Goku come to the fight alone, he wouldn’t have been able to do this though, as the devious Dragon relies on holding Pan hostage. If not for Pan’s presence, Naturon Shenron would have fallen as quickly as every Shadow Dragon to appear before him.

3

Majuub is the Strongest Non-Saiyan Hero in Dragon Ball GT

Majuub Loses His Debut Battle Against Baby

Majuub is the fusion of Uub and Majin Buu, born in a moment of desperation during the struggle against Baby. Tragically, the apprentice of Goku falls short of fulfilling his role as a defender of the world, and he’s defeated by Baby. While he’s certainly the strongest version of Buu, Majuub isn’t on the same level of Dragon Ball GT’s top fighters.

Majuub has the benefits of having been trained by Goku for years, and of having access to Buu’s mystical abilities. During his fight against Baby Vegeta, he’s able to hold his own, until his Transfiguration Beam is turned back on him. As a direct form of comparison, it’s Super Saiyan 4 Goku who does succeed in triumphing over the Tuffle parasite.

2

Baby Was the First Victim of Super Saiyan 4 Goku

Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku Could Replicate Many of His Older Self’s Feats

Baby was created by Tuffle scientists to wipe out all Saiyans in the universe and, despite how tall a task this is by the era of Dragon Ball GT, he amasses the power needed to do so. Capable of possessing billions of people at once, Baby becomes the strongest warrior in the universe by taking control of Vegeta, and absorbing the power of his other victims. Even Super Saiyan 3 Goku proves to be no match for him.

Baby reaches the peak of his power when he unlocks the Golden Great Ape form. Cool as the transformation is, this boost isn’t enough to stop him from losing his spot as the strongest character in GT to Super Saiyan 4 Goku. Baby’s only hope against Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku would be to end the fight fast by possessing him, as his raw strength would be ineffective against the de-aged hero.

Super 17 is the Strongest Dragon Ball GT Character Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku Can Beat

Mini Goku Might Not Need Super Saiyan 4 to Beat Super Saiyan 4

Super 17 is the main villain of Dragon Ball GT’s penultimate arc. For all his faults as an antagonist, he’s certainly strong enough to be one this late in the franchise, as he triumphs over Super Saiyan 4 Goku. This doesn’t mean he could defeat Super Saiyan 4 Mini Goku though, as there are extenuating circumstances behind Super 17’s victory.

Super 17 possesses the ability to absorb any ki attacks used against him. He lasts against Goku as long as he does because Goku is atypically idiotic during their battle, and he fails to realize this is happening. When Super 17 meets his end, Goku doesn’t even need a transformation. Rather, Base Goku kills Super 17 with the Dragon Fist, and some assistance from Android 18.
