Anna Camp is defending her May-December relationship, after making her red carpet debut at the Bride Hard premiere with girlfriend Jade Whipkey, 24, last week.

The 42-year-old actress is 18 years older than Whipkey, but she says the stylist is ‘far more mature than any’ man she’s dated.

Camp clapped back at critics under an Instagram post from LGBTQ+ outlet PinkNews, writing, ‘Thought I’d jump on here since I follow @pinknews and just say I’ve dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them.’

She emphasized their compatibility as she continued, ‘We have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything ♥️ 

‘Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I’m wishing everyone well 🙂 Especially this Pride month.’

The lovebirds were first linked in May when Camp reposted an image originally uploaded on Whipke’s Instagram account.

The snap showed the True Blood star sitting at a restaurant with the text: ‘Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing.’

Camp reshared the picture to her Instagram Stories, tagging Jade, adding a fiery red heart emoji, and confirming their relationship.

And on June 10, Whipkey celebrated Camp’s Palm Springs Life magazine cover as she shared images of them cozied up at the launch party. 

The caption read, ‘You are the easiest person to celebrate and the sweetest to love ❤️. See you on the cover of @voguemagazine next.’

The last image in the carousel post was a photo of Jade wearing a tour T-shirt with several photos of her girlfriend splashed across it.

On Sunday Anna took to Instagram Story to gush about her girlfriend while sharing a photo from their red carpet appearance.

‘When her eyes match your dress,’ she wrote, adding a pink heart emoji with an arrow going through it.

Earlier this month Jade gave a shoutout to Anna online while wearing a tour T-shirt featuring photos of her girlfriend

Shortly after going public with their relationship in May, the pair was spotted sharing a kiss during a Los Angeles outing.

And in February Camp and Whipkey made an appearance in a TikTok video for Mr.Big.USA, recalling some of the worst dates they’ve had.

Camp was previously married to Michael Mosley from 2010 through 2013.

Anna compared her marriage to Mosley as a ‘one-night stand that lasted 7 years’ during an episode of Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast.

She also tied the knot with Skylar Astin in 2016; their divorce was finalized three years later.
