Anna Johnston is speaking out about the recent turmoil within her family.
The star of the TLC series recently took to social media to address and clarify events from the December 2 episode of 7 Little Johnstons.
This season of the Johnston family’s reality show has prominently featured the ongoing conflict between Anna and her parents, Trent and Amber Johnston, as well as her siblings. In the most recent episode, the family celebrated Thanksgiving, notably without Anna’s presence. According to Amber, Anna made the decision not to attend the holiday gathering. However, Anna disputes this claim, asserting that she was never invited.
Anna Johnston exposes truth about ‘7 Little Johnstons’
Anna accused her mother of being dishonest, insisting that she did not choose to miss the family celebration.
“I was not informed or anything like that,” Anna stated in a video shared on TikTok.
“c, I was not told or anything like that,” Anna said in a video posted on TikTok.
“If I was invited, I would so have came,” she added. “Because it is so sad not to be together all as a family. It’s not like the years get easier. The years get harder.”
Anna also said that the family Thanksgiving celebration that 7 Little Johnstons fans saw on TV was totally fake.
“In real life, they did not do Thanksgiving like that,” she explained, referring to the family’s meal of take-out Chinese food. “They did Thanksgiving at my Mom’s family’s house. That was told [to me] by my younger sister.”
Instead, the dinner viewers saw was “just for TV and probably to bring up my name 5 billion time.
“Y’all must be really thankful for me. Just sayin’,” she said.
In her video, Anna also addressed claims that she chose not to attend her niece Leighton’s first birthday party.
As seen on 7 Little Johnstons, Anna sister Liz Johnston allegedly commented on TikTok that Anna opted not to attend’s Leighton’s party. Anna shared a screenshot of that comment, adding that she had not been invited to the event. Liz has since claimed that she doesn’t have TikTok and that Anna was responding to a post from a fake account. Anna says that’s BS.
“It was her TikTok,” she said.
As with Thanksgiving, Anna says she would have put her differences with her family aside and attended – if she had been asked.
“At the end of the day, I would have came because it’s my niece’s birthday party,” she said.
Anna added that her family is so intent on casting her as the bad guy that they “can’t keep their stories straight.”
Meanwhile, Anna said she wasn’t given a chance to share her side of the story on 7 Little Johnstons.
“I don’t have a chance to speak on TV about it, you know? It’s always, ‘Let’s talk about Anna but let’s not record Anna,’” she said. “‘Let’s record Anna having Thanksgiving by herself.’ Mind you, that was not really what I did on Thanksgiving, just like they didn’t really do Chinese on Thanksgiving.”
7 Little Johnstons airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
