This week marked a significant moment for television enthusiasts. New seasons of popular series like The Pitt and The Traitors made their debut on HBO Max and Peacock. Meanwhile, beloved network series such as High Potential, The Rookie, One Chicago, Will Trent, Grey’s Anatomy, and Law & Order resumed with fresh episodes.
That’s an impressive lineup of TV shows to keep up with!
As for me, I’m lagging behind. I dedicated the week to catching up on Pluribus on Apple TV, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I finally got around to watching the second season of Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, which was an absolute treat. You might have noticed the absence of CBS hits Fire Country and Sheriff Country from the list of returning shows. So, when can fans expect these two popular dramas to return with new episodes?
Here’s the scoop.
Are Sheriff Country and Fire Country Airing New Episodes Tonight (January 9)?
Regrettably, CBS is serving up reruns once again. The network plans to reair the premiere of Harlan Coben’s Final Twist at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by the seventh episode of Sheriff Country titled “Glory Days” at 9:00 p.m. ET.
The night concludes with a rerun of Boston Blue (“Baggage Claim”).
When Do Fire Country and Sheriff Country Return to CBS with New Episodes?
Sadly, it’s going to be a few weeks. Both Fire Country and Sheriff Country return to CBS on Friday, February 27, 2026.
