Ashanti and Nelly surprised fans last year when they rekindled their romance after a decade apart and welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Haynes. Now, less than a year later, there’s speculation the couple may be expanding their family once again.

During a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, singer Keyshia Cole casually mentioned that Ashanti could be pregnant with baby number two.

“Shout out to Ashanti, ’cause I mean, she’s amazing,” Cole said. “She got a baby, she’s pregnant again.”

Later in the interview, co-host Loren Lorosa asked for clarification, prompting Cole to backtrack. “Omg… I didn’t break anything. I saw this on the internet!” she said. Charlamagne tha God chimed in with, “I thought everybody knew that.” Loren quickly pointed out, however, that nothing has been officially confirmed.

The moment quickly went viral with many fans calling out Cole for potentially spilling personal news.

One X user wrote, “Now why Keyshia Cole out there telling Ashanti’s business like that? That’s messed up.” Another added, “Why y’all ain’t tell me Ashanti pregnant again? I had to find out from Keyshia Cole.”

Cole later took to the comments section of Hollywood Unlocked to apologize. “My apologies… I shouldn’t have said that. I thought she announced it. If that isn’t true I apologize.”

Rumors of a second pregnancy have been swirling since late last year. As of now, neither Ashanti nor Nelly has addressed the rumors. Fans will have to wait and see if the couple decides to share any updates.
