On Sunday, July 20, the Curry family officially welcomed a new teenager into the fold. Riley Curry turned 13, and her parents, Ayesha and Steph, are celebrating her milestone moment.

“And just like that she’s THIRTEEN! Leaving it at that because @stephencurry30 and I are still processing,” Ayesha wrote in her Instagram caption alongside a carousel of sweet, nostalgic photos. She concluded her caption, “We love our Riley Roo.”

Riley, who once charmed the world as a toddler interrupting Steph’s press conference, now stands tall in a yellow floral dress and white Converse sneakers, smiling with the poise of a young woman stepping into her own. In other throwbacks on the carousel, she’s seen giggling on her mom’s lap at a game, and playing mini golf while dad Steph lurks in the background, because family time has always been everything for the Currys.

Of course, the comments section of the birthday post were filled well-wishes from both fans and family alike. Even Steph’s sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, jumped into the conversation with a sweet message, writing, “I don’t think I’ll ever recover.”

Ayesha and Steph, who’ve been married since 2011, share four children: Riley (13), Ryan (who just turned 10 on July 10), Canon (7), and baby Caius (14 months). The household is full of love, laughs, and according to Ayesha, some pint-sized parenting partners.

In an interview with People Magazine, earlier this year, Ayesha gushed about how much the older kids have stepped up since baby Caius’ arrival.

“The girls are like little moms. It’s the best decision we’ve ever made, honestly,” she said. “We were worried about having the six-year gap between our son and Cai Cai, and it’s been magical… There’s no jealousy. I love it.”

From cheering on their father courtside at Warriors games to welcoming baby siblings with open arms, Riley has grown up in the spotlight, and we are grateful for Curry’s sharing the journey.
