In a recent interview with Haute Beauty, 35-year-old Ayesha Curry revealed the “brutal and moment of “innocent honesty” that she received from her six-year-old son that “humbled” the mother-of-four immediately.

“My 6-year-old son will humble you real fast,” Ayesha said of her son. “He’s still at the phase of brutal, innocent honesty.”

“He’s done this three times now: he’ll run in the kitchen and be like, ‘Mom, are you having another baby? Your belly looks big.’ I’m like, ‘No, I’m not.’ Actually, I just lost three pounds. I don’t say it to him, but in my head I’m like, ‘Dang, you got me again!’”

In addition to Canon, The Seasoned Life cookbook author and actress shares: Riley, 12, Ryan, 9, Canon, 6, and son Caius, with husband Stephen Curry.

This past holiday season was the first time that the Curry’s celebrated with a new member of the family, Caius, who was born in May of 2024.

In a previous November 2024 interview with People Magazine, Curry explained the things that she was most looking forward to now being a family of six.

“We just had his stocking made. Never thought we’d be making another stocking, and yet here we are,” Ayesha told People. “And so I think it’s going to be a big deal in a couple of weeks when we go to hang up that extra stocking that we didn’t know we needed but now couldn’t have it any other way.”

“I think that’s going to be really, really exciting and nostalgic. And I’m such a crier, I’m sure I’ll cry, but I think that’s great. He’s still little, so he’s not going to know what the heck’s going on, but I think the other kids will be able to build those memories.”

It does seem that Curry got her wish. The festive snapshots that she shared on social media at the time not only showcased precious moments with their children but they also reminded us of the simple pleasures that always make the holiday season so special.

We hope that Canon gives his mom a little more grace, we just entered into a new year. But, we must remember, the little ones do tend to keep us all humble and on our toes.
