Former BBNaija contestant Alex has responded to the apprehension of several homeless individuals during a raid conducted by the Lagos State government.

In her Instagram stories, she conveyed her bewilderment and concern regarding the policy, inquiring: ‘“Can someone please educate me on why Lagos State is arresting homeless people?”

The ex-BBNaija participant did not hold back, revealing that the news had already dampened her spirits: “What is the crime? Not having a house?”

She highlighted the contradiction of arresting individuals merely for lacking shelter, while others with homes continue to pollute the environment by littering public areas.

“Even people with houses litter the environment. I see people throwing stuff from cars.”.’

She concluded with a poignant question: “Why are homeless people sleeping in corners being arrested?”

Her remarks have since ignited conversations online, with numerous Nigerians resonating with her views and questioning the humanitarian implications of such enforcement measures.
