“One of my cherished expressions we often used was ‘we do this life together,’ and sadly, that’s no longer our reality,” she shared on Instagram on July 27. “We envisioned a future filled with plans of being aunties, living nearby, and exploring the world together. Now, I’m faced with the challenge of navigating life without you by my side.”
Cate opened up about the private battles her sister endured, which weren’t apparent to the world, noting that “her laughter and radiance were palpable to anyone lucky enough to be around her, even for a fleeting moment.”
She expressed, “Brynn was a beacon of light, yet she faced profound struggles.” Her challenges surprised many since “she was incredibly altruistic, always prioritizing others’ needs above her own.”
She emphasized, “Let Brynn’s journey remind us that we never truly know what someone might be facing.”
As Cate prepares to step into the future, she carries her sister’s memory within her heart, striving to keep her close in spirit.
“I won’t get to know what growing old with Brynn looks like, but I want to do it in honor of her,” she shared. “She will continue to be my guiding light for my life. Even though I hoped to never do life without her, I will learn what that is like one day at a time.”
