Bluey lovers, get ready, one of the show’s most beloved episodes is getting a brand-new look. This fall, the hit animated series about the Heeler family will make its debut in graphic novel form, just in time for holiday gift giving.

On November 4, 2025, Bluey: The Sign will officially hit shelves from Penguin Young Readers. The story is based on the extra-long episode of the same name, which quickly became a fan favorite after it premiered, racking up more than 10 million views worldwide in its very first week.

At about 28 minutes, The Sign feels more like a mini-movie than a regular episode.

So, just what is this episode all about? Well, plot follows the Heelers as they prepare for a big move after Bandit, Bluey’s dad, accepts a new job in another city.

This episode is special because it is relatable. Many children have had to leave behind friends, routines, and familiar places when a parent has to make the decision to move the family to another location for better opportunities. The Sign unquestionably will touch home for many children and adults who watch the episode.

And while Bluey already has a shelf full of picture books and board books, this will mark the first time the series has been turned into a graphic novel. The targeted age range for readers is slightly older too, with publishers recommending it for kids ages 7–10, making it perfect for those older siblings who still watch Bluey episodes but want something that feels “just grown-up enough.”

Since its debut in Australia back in 2018, Bluey has become a global favorite. The show is streamed worldwide on Disney, BBC, and ABC, and it’s built an enormous fan base with its mix of humor, heart, for both children and adults alike, as it breaks down life-lessons for children. No topic is off-limits for this amazing show that has been around since October 2018. Bluey was created by Joe Brumm.

Beyond the episodes themselves, Bluey’s world keeps growing. There’s a Bluey YouTube channel, toys, books, and even themed play experiences. And now, with the graphic novel, fans will have yet another way be a part of the Heelers’ world.
