The hit Bravo series Below Deck Down Under is facing potential changes in its crew lineup as Captain Jason Chambers and Daisy Kelliher grapple with the possibility of a team member leaving early in the charter season.

In an exclusive sneak peek shared with Us Weekly from the upcoming February 16 episode, Captain Jason checks in with Daisy regarding the tensions between sous chef Alesia Harris and chef Ben Robinson. Daisy informs Jason about the heated altercation between Alesia and Ben the previous night.

“Things escalated really quickly last night,” Daisy confesses. “It went from zero to 100, and it wasn’t pretty.” In response, Jason expresses his desire for Alesia to remain on board, highlighting his familiarity with her from the previous season and his personal connection, having met her sister in Sydney.

However, Daisy voices her concerns about the pair’s ability to work together throughout the season. “I hoped they could manage, but I fear this conflict will persist,” she says. “It’s likely to affect their service and, most importantly, the quality of the guests’ dining experience.”

The Below Deck franchise is no stranger to drama, and Below Deck Down Under holds its own in this regard. Since its premiere on Peacock in March 2022, the show has captured viewers’ attention with its intense feuds, unexpected firings, and general chaos, leaving a lasting impression on both fans and cast members.

Below Deck Down Under's Biggest Drama Through the Years

The Below Deck franchise has had its fair share of drama over the years — and Below Deck Down Under is no different. The spinoff show, which premiered on Peacock in March 2022, left a memorable impression on viewers when it came to feuds, firings and chaos. During the first season, fans and cast alike […]

Daisy continues: “I don’t want to see Alesia go as well. She fits in great with the crew and apparently she was a stew before she’s a sous chef. I don’t know what your plan is — but from my end — I’m happy for her to join my team.”

Jason, meanwhile, points out that he does have a stew coming in. “If I can’t turn this girl back, she’s fine. I might ring her up and see if she likes cooking,” he adds. “Otherwise, we have to change to get a galley again. I’m a little bit disappointed that Alesia can’t just toughen up for a longer.”

Season 4 of Below Deck Down Under got off to a rocky start when Ben realized Alesia’s experience wasn’t what he was expecting. Alesia crumbled under the pressure and told Jason she wasn’t sure she could stay on the boat.

Alesia isn’t the only one who appeared to have issues with Ben. In the official trailer for the season, Ben appeared at odds with Daisy multiple times.

“Maybe we’re both as stubborn as each other,” Daisy exclusively told Us Weekly last month. “[Our issues were] kind of all of those things. It was the guest cabin, it was the way he managed his team and the way he ran his galley. There were difficulties with communication — so timing and not envisioning service the same way. There were honestly a lot of difficulties and challenges.”

Daisy still called Ben “a hard person to stay angry at,” adding, “But neither of us wanted animosity, and I think both of us really wanted to give the best for the guests. With that being our primary focus, we were always able to come back to that and be like, ‘OK, look, we like each other. We have the same goal. How can we make this happen?’”

Below Deck Down Under Where Are They Now

Bravo and Peacock viewers were in for a treat with the premiere of Below Deck Down Under — with many of the show’s stars leaving a lasting impression. The spinoff series, which debuted in 2022, featured Below Deck Mediterranean alum Aesha Scott. The chief stew joined Captain Jason Chambers and the rest of the group […]

She continued: “But I think toward the end of the season, I was getting frustrated. We have a few flare-ups, and there’s definitely some arguments there. It’s difficult because I was trying to do a good job — as he was. Everything was honestly a challenge.”

At the time, Daisy recalled having to “pick” her battles with Ben.

“I let it go. Even Jason is like, ‘Let it go and pick your battles.’ There were so many other things going on. It felt like this was a small thing to kind of argue, but I guess I just wouldn’t let it go and he wouldn’t let it go,” she concluded. “He takes a guest robe, but he’s doing it to annoy me and he makes it his own. As you’ll see throughout the season, he wears it all over the boat to wind me up. So, of course, I can’t let it go. I think he was doing stuff to push my buttons throughout the season.”

Below Deck Down Under airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
