Ben Affleck recently responded to inquiries about his acquaintance with Lisa Barlow, a notable figure from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC).

The 53-year-old actor, who was recently mentioned by his ex-wife Jennifer Garner in reference to his past obsession with Beyonce, was questioned by Access Hollywood regarding a comment Barlow made. She had previously claimed she was attending an event alongside “Ben and Blake.”

Barlow, the 51-year-old reality star, appeared to refer to both Blake Lively and Affleck in her excuse to avoid filming with her Bravo colleagues.

Currently engaged in promoting his new Netflix project, The Rip, Affleck was presented with a photograph of Barlow and asked if she was familiar to him.

The Oscar-winning actor was cautious in his response, expressing reluctance to say anything that might cause complications.

However, his co-star Matt Damon prompted him to consider when he was last in Utah, where Barlow’s ‘event’ would have likely taken place.

Affleck estimated that he hadn’t been to the state in possibly a decade. 

He went on to say that the brunette star ‘doesn’t look familiar to me, and I don’t remember it,’ adding, ‘I don’t want to embarrass her.’

‘I don’t think I’m qualified to weigh in on this,’ he said concluded.

Affleck met Barlow on at least one occasion, which was proven when she shared a photo of them together on social media in August 2024.

While it’s unclear when the photo was taken, the TV star posted the flick amid the filmmaker’s very public split from second ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.

She also shared a separate photo with Lopez at the time, and quipped, ‘I didn’t pick sides.’  

Earlier this week during another press stop, Affleck and Damon opened up about their decades-long friendship.

The Boston natives revealed to the Today show’s Craig Melvin what their ‘least favorite’ things about each other are on Tuesday morning’s episode.

‘Um, [he’s] not great at cleaning up around the house,’ Affleck said about Damon, to which his friend objected, ‘Hey! [That was] when I was younger.’ 

Damon later named Affleck’s lateness as the thing that bugs him most.

‘We got here this morning and Ben was three minutes early. He got here before me and that’s the first time in 45 years he has not been late,’ he teased.

The banter continued as Affleck hit back: ‘Oh my god, that’s a complete myth. I work hard. I’m doing other stuff.’

He also joked that his acting counterpart lives ‘the life of luxury’ as he went on, ‘You come out of the trailer and everything’s done magically. How do you think it gets that way? But it’s fine.’

The frequent collaborators, whose 1997 movie Good Will Hunting earned them an Oscar, star in Joe Carnahan’s thriller about Miami cops who seize millions of dollars.
